Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceWell guys I installed the map sensor and reset the apps and I think I have the problem fixed! Took it for a ride and no codes and good power! I’ll let you know if anything else comes up! Thanks for the help!

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceWell I’m not sure what too say about this but I was gone for the weekend and got home last night. Drive to work this morning and it in to head home. I got on it in 6th gear and saw 28 psi of booost. Why didn’t I see anymore than 20 when I pegged it last time!? Prepping to replace map and reset apps in a little... Also seems like it has quite a bit more power too but I’m not sure if it’s as powerful as it should be...

I actually have 16 inch wheels by the way! Currently have 285/75/r16s right now. Based off of that what would you guys go with? Same size? I have no clue what these are as far as 32s 34s etc. Anyone know what they would be??

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceGot hold of a scan gauge now I’m waiting for a sitter cable. So i don’t want to see the scan gauge read over 14 psi of turbo boost? Ill be finishing the p0122 testing tonight but like I said earlier I was not getting continuity on one of the wires. Would this cause a lack of power?

Mpg matters a lot too me but I also don’t want skinny dumb looking tires lol

What size tires would y’all get? I have 17 inch stock wheels. I would like to have lower rpms if I can and I would like to get better fuel mileage. Suggestions?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceDid you see the previous post? I didn’t complete the test I had to go but on one of the wires I was not getting continuity. I would think it throw codes to if there was a issue.

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceLol ok I was like how did those get there! Anyways I’m headed out of state for the weekend so I’ll get hold of an obd splitter and see what I find out. I’m working on the P0122 code troubleshooting and I think I may have a broken wire in the apps harness how would you go about digging it out?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceReport post Posted May 31, 2016 Alright I have boost reading accurately for our trucks Issue we have with our trucks is early trucks read map values as 0-1023 or 0-5v late trucks read 0-255 and the ecm decodes that our sensors read in KPA at least for early truck late trucks may read in PSI. a KPA Our sensors also do not take atmospheric pressure. Our ECM takes the KPA from the map sensor then takes baro pressure and minuses it. So to configure on a early truck Name: Boost Description: Boost Manuf: Generic metric units: Units english units: psi min: 0 Max: 1023 Metric to english scale: .2 Metric to English offset: 0 header: 486 obd mode: 01 pid: 0B Priority: high equation: (A*.145)-16 ****16 is the approx of atmosphere so since I am high in altitude you take 14psi for sea level then add a few PSI for being high. So to configure on a late truck ( untested but I think that should work) Name: Boost Description: Boost Manuf: Generic metric units: Units english units: psi min: 0 Max: 255 Metric to english scale: .2 Metric to English offset: 0 header: 486 obd mode: 01 pid: 0B Priority: high equation: (A*.145)-16 ****16 is the approx of atmosphere so since I am high in altitude you take 14psi for sea level then add a few PSI for being high. So using these numbers I statted the truck and ran this command and it came back with -2.71 psi. I don't have a splitter so I canr take it out and do that yet. Thanks Haha Confused Sad How do I sens commands in the Obdlink app??

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceOk I’ll give it a whirl after while! Thanks man! Nick would a scan gauge 2 do all the stuff we’ve talked about? Tempted to just see if someone local has one to make everything easier. Good idea? Bad idea?

Is this not what I’m looking for? Right on Mike! I’ll be lookin over al my wiring also. Really do appreciate the help guys.

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceMy truck is a 2000. Looks like all good reading but just curious why are you suggesting I read over the other codes other than p0237? Just fmi? I’ll defiantly look them over though! I have a pretty good feeling that the p1694 and p0123 are from when I forgot to turn off the ignition when I plugged the ecm back in. I cleared the codes and they did not come back which is why I assume that. I find this extremely confusing! Is there a possibility you could type up all the values to be able to read the map?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceOk I’ll post back with results asap When I hook up the obdlink and see how much boost I get it shouldn’t read over 14 psi?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceLooks like what I need to read the map then. Sobtonight I’ll go back over everything we’ve talked about and see what I come up with. Anything else to do?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceI don’t think my obdlink watches the map does it? I’ll have to drive it later but the monitor has been reading 0 psi at idle which is correct right? It limits the boost to 14 psi over stock eastegate setting or total psi?

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceThat is what I’m working on! I ordered a new map sensor from Geno’s so I’m hoping that will maybe help something. As far as testing I did the p0237 testing last night and measuring the resistance between ground and pin no 2 I couldn’t get it to read. Same with no 2 and no 3 on the mapnharness. Suggestions?

I got to track down my issue first though... any idea where I can get rid of my Juice? It’s brand new only had for 2 weeks! It sucks compared to qaud! Lol

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceSo the splitter would be to run the live data and edge monitor at the same time? My obdlink will work right? Thanks!

Marcus2000monster replied to Marcus2000monster's topic in 2nd Generation Dodge Reliability / PerformanceHow would you test the boost cooler? I wonder if that may be an issue!? Seems like I should be able to build more than 20 pounds of boost? I have the edge boost elbow on.
