  1. That is great news! Sharp truck as well.
  2. Short run video with 3CYL high idle. https://youtu.be/liyEx_GMKEk
  3. Mine was idled up to 1200 RPM's roughly two minutes after starting and running in 3cyl mode.
  4. I have completed my install and tested the high idle. All works as it should. Very easy to install and plenty of loom for the location I installed my switch at. I did not unplug the power puck. Also my check engine light is no longer on, it must have been due to not having the switch plugged in.
  5. Must a diablo power puck be unplugged prior to plugging in the smarty? If yes, it has two locations it plugs in. Do I just unplug both of those and not plug anything into those locations?
  6. I'll check that now. Does it matter if the switch is plugged into the harness? It currently is not plugged in. However high idle has not been flashed on yet.
  7. I installed the high idle. Unhooked both batteries prior to install and took my time. I have not flashed the smarty onto my truck yet. After wire install I did an APPS reset with my throttle pedal. Now I have the check engine and gauge lights both on and my thermostat is pegged out. Below picture is while running.
  8. Same examples for me, coming from the northeast. Coming from the West coast, some days deliver a day early. Very strange.
  9. I am awaiting a rented Smarty tuner to enable high idle on my truck. I am in Arkansas and as of lately USPS has been terribly slow/misroutes out of the Northeast. I have been ordering items from the west coast and getting items in a good timely manner, fingers crossed. I know UPS/FedEx don't struggle with that as much.
  10. Thanks ME and MoparMan, pretty sure I am set. Will install this weekend. Sucks that it gets dark at 530 after work, cant get anything done.
  11. Thanks Me. I can do this "you can just switch the switch from 3 cyl mode to mpg then go on your way" while the engine is running, just as long as i switch fast, correct?
  12. ME, just want to clarify the high idle switch cancel function. I might be over thinking this one. Canceling Selected High Idle Mode The only way to cancel a selected high idle mode is to turn off the engine and wait 10 seconds and start again. This will reset the high idle mode. Be sure to set the proper mode you wish to start with either OFF, 6 CYL or 3CYL before starting. So the above states the only way to cancel high idle mode is by shutting the truck off. On a cold morning I select 3CYL mode, and then start my engine. It runs for 5-10 minutes until warming up. At this point, I must shut my truck off to cancel 3CYL, or can I hit the brake to cancel the 3CYL. Also, must I turn the truck off and put it to the OFF or MPG position or can I drive the truck with the 3CYL being selected as the brake pedal cancels the high idle. Thanks.
  13. Attached is the user manual. Might help as well. High Idle Instructions
  14. Thanks me. What gauge wire is the red/white wires? Can't tell with the loom on.
  15. I received my switch. Great quality, good connectors. One question I have is on the positive/negative wires that illuminate the switch. I notice it doesn't have o rings on it. Is there a reason not to run it directly to the battery? I am going to put a 40 AMP inline fuse on the positive wire and connect directly to the battery, if there is no reason not to?
  16. Thanks Me, not that I'm comfortable doing this, but if the Smarty is truly plug and play. Is there anything worth editing while I have the Smarty in hand, I have 21 days to use it. Does the sequence matter, install switch first, or enable high idle with Smarty 1st? Thanks for the help.
  17. I have purchased the high idle switch and it is due to deliver today. I have also rented a Smarty from DAP to activate the 3 cylinder high idle mode. Just looking for a few pointers on the install. I have read the install article: High Idle Install I know to unhook my batteries prior to install and take my time to ensure I don't bump any other wires that might cause issues down the road. The switch install seems pretty straight forward. My main questions are with the Smarty. What is the process for enabling high idle? Plug in Smarty. Does key need to be on? After plugging in the Smarty I'm lost. Thanks in advance for helping out a newbie.
  18. Awesome, did not even think about that. I was concerned in voltage drop with that long of a run. Should be much more simple with that bit of info, thanks again.
  19. Thanks Michael. I like that setup. I have already ordered the lightbar, however, if that does not workout, I will for sure copy your setup. Would you advise against running the lights from the secondary battery?
  20. I am adding a 20" light bar to my 01. I will be making a bracket to add it under my rear hitch, somewhat hidden as much as possible as it is a slim lightbar. Can I run the harness to my non main battery without ill effects? I will be running an inline fuse as well as a relay. My goal is to flip the switch on while backing up to increase my visibility while backing as my reverse lights are not bright at all. Would it work best running from my main battery?
