Dang!! Burned up the new VP by running it out of fuel, just once, or multiple times?? I ordered the one from Vulcan performance today. Do you know if yours came with the new float and the electronics for the float? Edit, called Vulcan, mine does come with new float/electronics, and a new tank seal as well. Had a quick moment of oh crap..I ordered the sending unit for the very reason of fixing my fuel gauge...I didnt see the float in the pictures, but maybe I just cant see it so well.

Thanks, I have the fuel boss as you know, and all my lines now are 3/8". At this point I am not going to go to 1/2" lines, but could in the future..which isnt a huge deal to change out all the 3/8" hose at that time. I am looking for plug and play at this point to get it back running lol.

The one I linked to doesn’t have a pump. It’s the version that doesn’t come with the in tank pump. Which is what I have now, my pump is still mounted on the block. Are you saying you have the in tank lift pump?

So, pretty sure I have figured out the issue all along. Since truck has been running fine, however today it quit and would not fire back. Gauge said 1/4 tank. Put 2.5 gallons in, truck reads just above 1/2 tank. Pretty sure all along truck has been borderline just out of fuel. So gauge was not reading accurately all along. Pretty frustrating honestly, but it is what it is. Got a new VP and will be getting a new sender as well. Has anybody had good luck with using the vulcan sending unit? I do not have an in tank pump. Below is the entire sending unit that I am considering. Going to replace it since I will have to pull it out of the tank anyways. http://www.vulcanperformance.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=MFM2OE

Drawstraw Users - How low can you go?
Thanks sir, is this the same as what you have? http://www.vulcanperformance.com/Draw-Straw-3-p/ds3.htm

Drawstraw Users - How low can you go?
Just so I am following correctly, @Mopar1973Manyou have your sending unit and float still installed in your tank, and your draw straw is in the middle of it? Or do you have a remote hole for your draw straw that doesnt pass through your sending unit basket? Just trying to look at my options as I might need to get a draw straw in the future.

Thanks sir. I will for sure check my check valve also. I am thinking it’s the pickup tube in some fashion. When it’s running good it has the normal fuel boss pressure of 16 idle, and up to 19 as rpm increases. Yes, that’s my next thing. Just half afraid to take off to the gas station for fear of it quitting on me. Gonna get my 5 gallon jug for now and cruise close to the house at first.

Fuel pressure is steady 16, but drops once cornering/going uphill then it creates the issues for replacing VP. Stutters and dies, and fuel pressure drops as its a crank driven fuel pump. What is the normal solution for the 1/4 tank issue? Is it caused by a cracked pickup tube normally?

I received my VP last week and it is now installed. Truck fired up after 15 seconds, after install. I was on my way to the gas station last time it cut out and died, before replacing my VP. 1/4 tank of gas is what it has in it now. My truck is running now but has died a couple of times. It died when backing up a slight incline. I am thinking I am having issues with the pickup tube in my tank. Maybe a crack or something plugged. It would cut out and die after cornering/turning. I have never had 1/4 tank issues like I have read about. What else can be checked?

I did get in touch with DAP and confirmed the above pump is from Midwest Injection. Will be ordering this pump tonight as truck has been sitting for a week thus far. Also, did confirm comes with the gasket.

Midwest Fuel Injection just as good as Industrial Injection? I assume so if DAP is offering a 2 year warranty with it. I will likely order the one listed above with the 2 year warranty. Do I need to buy anything extra with it, or does it come with all that is needed to install? I just looked Industrial up, and looks like a winner to me:

Thanks dripley. Not sure what was going on. I have texted that number on their website before and got a pretty quick response, people get busy though. Part of it.

Hello, I am in the market for an injection pump and have tried calling DAP, and tried texting also with no response. Does anybody know if the below pump is an Industrial Injection pump by chance? Thanks.

Side window rain guards
Gonna get these ordered

Side window rain guards
Are these the ones you have. That go down at the bottom? Check the pics at the below link. Please. https://www.etrailer.com/Air-Deflectors/WeatherTech/WT80027.html

Side window rain guards
Do either of you have a part number for the weather tech guards? I saw 80027 as the part number but want to ensure these are correct and will work with tow mirrors.
-
Side window rain guards
The ones I was looking at had bad reviews stating they didn’t fit in the window channel well. I will keep searching.

Side window rain guards
I like to run rain guards however only have the passenger side on now, drivers side cracked so I took it off. I am seeing a lot of in channel rain guards that share the same space as your window, the one I have now is mounted above the window. What is everybody running? Thanks.

Tow mirror wiring install
Agreed! These are not my exact mirrors/photos but same design. Mine did not include the retainer you speak of. Lesson learned for sure. My intent is for someone needed a bit of help sees this prior to pinching their wires like I did. The install is easy but if you gotta do it twice it’s not as fun. Here are the mirrors I went with.

Tow mirror wiring install
I just recently installed tow mirrors on my truck and wanted to share info I had found as I had pinched a few wires on my driver side mirror. The instructions with my tow mirrors didn’t even mention wiring. I thought I had them routed as optimal as possible but nope. Anyways, below are some pictures and a video of wire routing. These aren’t mine but it is how I routed mine after fixing my pinched wires.

Isspro EV2 electric gauge ignition source
I will likely pick the programmer up. That would be handy to have. I think I may have my egt probe a little off center as I was at 900 going 60 mph up a slight hill. I need to look up the normal numbers while cruising. Thanks for the offer on the programming.

Isspro EV2 electric gauge ignition source
I installed my gauges and they are up and running. Just curious with my pyrometer, is it supposed to zero out at shutoff or does it remain at your last reading? Right now it is sitting at 350 with the truck shut off. Also, I couldn’t find a 1 amp mini fuse so I am running a 2 amp mini fuse. They are the smallest oreillys had in stock. The directions say 1 amp should be used even if daisy chaining gauges together. Also, I am still waiting on my fuel pressure gauge to show up, going electric.

Isspro EV2 electric gauge ignition source
Thanks HD. From what I was reading it seems like most people make it quite complicated and wanted to make sure I wasn’t oversimplifying it. I will daisy chain my gauges together so it will be 1 wire for ignition, ground and my last wire going to my dimmer switch wire. I will use the cig lighter spot for now. Unless charging my phone and using my gauges at the same time blows a fuse. I might try the radio then. I appreciate the help.
