I just finished building my 48re with everything upgradedi had the 47re. just wanted the bigger planets, bigger drum, etc..If i didn't put a billet input in i would be worried about it all the time. plus risk of wrecking the billet TCThe billet input i used BDs

ya i believe the SKF bearing are good too..

mine hasnt worked since i bought it. something is sized in the cable somewhere

i think dealer unit bearings are $700

im waiting for my front tcase half from transfercase express.they mod the ford 271 to fit the dodge case. much stronger. and half the prices

Mines cracked too. Usually from out of balance or vibration.My Tcase front half cracked too.Either Tcase made tail-housing crack or tailhousing made Tcase crack from vibration or out of balance.Before I put my new tranny in I have to put a new tcase housing on at the same time.
