Tie rod ends
I used the Moog setup on mine. Had to shorten the drag link ~1", but otherwise bolted right on. I think it was around $250

Timing issue, VP dying?
I can't find any evidence of a leak, not ruling it out tho. Fuel pressure seems to be stable, I'll gather another log or two and scour it for any anomalies. It's pushing about 7 PSI, I know that's not ideal and an upgrade is planned when I have done extra cash.

Timing issue, VP dying?
I'm now having cold start issues. I'm pretty sure the signs are pointing to the pump.

Timing issue, VP dying?
I replaced the MAP sensor a while ago. Still having this issue. Driving down the road yesterday it happened, and when it did there was a blue cloud out of the tailpipe. I've seen this issue while accelerating using cruise, so that should rule out the APPS. The only code I'm throwing is 0236, I dont believe I've driven enough times since replacing the MAP for it to clear.

So many tow mirrors to choose from.
Power tow mirrors This is what I have, very happy with them. Was somewhat tempting to get the 4th gen power folding, but no way I was gonna spend $400

So many tow mirrors to choose from.
Which options @Mopar1973Man? I have the power heated tow mirrors on my truck, set me back about $180

So many tow mirrors to choose from.
Yes they did.

Get rid of wind noise permanently
Hey all, I couldn't find this info here yet, so I thought I'd share. I can't claim this fix as my own, I found this video and followed the same procedure. Before doing this I had terrible wind noise from both of my doors. I tried the 2x4 trick, and adjusted the door hinges and was able to reduce the noise, but it was still an issue with strong cross winds. To do this you need three items: Fish Tape Latex tubing (I used the 3/8" ID 1/4" OD recommended in the video) Lubricant (I used a product called LiquiFix because its odorless) The procedure basically requires you to remove the weatherstripping from the truck. You then use the fish tape and insert it all the way through the weatherstripping. Attach the latex tubing to the and of the tape, and with lots of lube (be very generous) pull the latex through the weatherstripping. The first one I did took a while because I was stingy with the lube. The second took me all of 10 minutes from beginning to end. I reinstalled on the truck, readjusted the doors to match the body lines. All I can say is wow. There is a very positive feeling to the doors now, both latching and opening. Best of all the cab is silent now, no more wind noise going down the highway. If I were going to do it again, I would use latex tubing of a slightly smaller diameter, or get some that was thinner wall. Total cost for me was about $40 for the latex tubing. If you do try this route, just beware that the link for latex tubing in the video is not a continuous piece. I paid a few dollars more for 40 feet of continuous tubing, looks like I have roughly 12 feet leftover. Overall incredibly easy, and great results

So many tow mirrors to choose from.
I agree with the trail ridge mirrors posted above. Installed about a month ago. Very stable on the highway compared to the junk mirrors they replaced

Timing issue, VP dying?
I should have been more clear when I posted that graph, the 47-51 is me pulling up on the throttle to switch from 2nd to 3rd. I'll look into getting a new MAP sensor. Looking at more data I can see where the timing is being pulled in that scenario. I assumed it was related because it was the only thing I could see changing quickly/erratically when the symptom was present. For the time being I'm going to replace the MAP and continue to monitor.

Timing issue, VP dying?
Looking at the graph above, the issue occurs around mark 26 and again at 54. I put about 280 miles on the truck this weekend, the issue didn't surface, but I did have an issue. After a stop the Quadzilla was showing the boost at 46 PSI while at idle, and I did throw a 0236 code. Truck seemed to run fine, and the issue went away after the next stop. Obviously I need to troubleshoot that code, perhaps replace the MAP sensor, maybe its just a bad connection after installing the Quad. Not sure if this issue could be related. @Mopar1973Man The data from the Quad doesn't show an anomalies with the APPS. Is the resolution not high enough to show small anomalies?

Timing issue, VP dying?
I've been having an intermittent issue with my truck, runs great but occasionally it will cut out momentarily. Seems like its also when lightly accelerating in second and third gear. I was able to snag the data from my Quadzilla when it happened to me today. Everything looks normal to me except the timing. If you take a look at the graph the timing will suddenly drop out, down to around 13°, this is when the engine cuts out, and then bounce back to 18-19° and run normally. When looking at these graphs am I seeing what is actually happening, or what is being commanded? Other than this little issue that has happened a few times in the last few weeks, the truck has run like a top. I'm concerned this may be a VP issue.

Blue-Top vs Redhead steering gear
I rebuilt a box for my Jeep some years ago, kind of a fun project. I'm not sure I'm comfortable rebuilding this one. Laying under the truck and rotating the steering shaft there is quite a bit of deflection in the sector shaft. I'd hate to see how bad the deflection actually is with the truck running. Something inside is quite worn, perhaps it just needs new bearings but I'm not sure. That being said it doesn't leak at all

Blue-Top vs Redhead steering gear
I appreciate the input from both of you. No monster tires here. I just have a habit of reading waaay to many reviews and then overthinking things.

Hello from Montana
Hi all, been digging through articles here for a while now, figured I'd better make an account. I've got a 2002 2500 that I purchased from my dad back in October. He was the original owner, and this was the first truck I drove around when I got my license. Just the ST model, my dad likes simple. So far I've replaced the steering linkage with the 2010 upgrade, new track bar, new Bilsteins, new power tow mirrors, Quadzilla and a 4th gen center console. Also added a topper and built a sleeping platform in the back, my wife and I do a lot of fishing/camping trips. Would like to say thanks for all the help this forum has already provided. Jered

Blue-Top vs Redhead steering gear
6 Bolt box Definitely pricey, but maybe worth the extra coin

Blue-Top vs Redhead steering gear
Long time lurker, first post. Has anyone considered the HD 6 bolt boxes? I've recently replaced my track bar, and upgraded to the 2010 linkage. While that helped tremendously, I can see the sector shaft deflect when turning, so a box will be my next upgrade.
