Would it matter who he got them from, or are there other makers besides bosch. I got my RV275's new in bosch boxes. The one guy said chinese?, so that would mean none bosch injectors? I gave up on mileage, i just drive, the scan gauge says 17-18, im good with that, i drive on 5x5, feels good, getting ready to put my 16's back on in a couple months for winter i will see if mileage changes.

They found nothing, they said they tested it and it worked fine. Tested on a 2001 truck like mine, so they are sending back. I will have to look elsewhere for the fueling, im thinking that the comp just works differently on different injection pumps. All i know is i put my EZ back on, and the exhaust note was very much deeper, alot deeper, sounded good. And it seemed to pull just a lil less than the comp did lol, my truck sucks:banghead:

Question, isint gasoline harder and more solvent like to filters? When looking at different types of filters elements i cant see a big difference in the media with my eyes and feel both are paper. So lets say a inline filter is made for gas, would diesel be easier on the media with its oily feel? - - - Updated - - -

Yes thats what i did, i used a Wix #33299 which has 1/2 inch inlet/outlet. very good idea to do that.

Nice good to know, just installed my hx the other day, i threw the ez back on cause comp is at edge, and the boost was a little laggy, but came on strong, i can definitely tell in the exhaust note that i have a bigger exhaust turbine than the hy. I have my trans temp in the pan, but i did run it in the front test port on passenger side going off an article i saw in diesel power mag, hope i didn't block anything when i did that. With the ez maxed out at 25psi, but you can really hear the hx over the hy, and i will never need more than 30 psi, im not racing lol. It always seemed to me the hy spooled up, but didn't pull like the hx i have now.

I will try that on map setting instead of boost setting.

The freeze frame data looked like a hard take off, and that's when the code was set, i really hope he doesn't keep it at 2700 at only 40mph. PO720 speed sensor output fault correct? - - - Updated - - - Mine either but im stuck with it, are you running stock clutch? Also OP i would consult a transmission shop for torque converter shudder verification, and so they can check pressure and bands.

Thanks guys it means alot. And i agree there are way more choices in 16 inch, and that includes cars, my cvpi tires are 16 and cheap, still get a set for 400 .And once again Thanks for the thoughts.

Hopefully i can make it out there sometime, i like grades, but my travel is limited, my wife has cancer, so the 5er just collects dust now, well i keep it rinsed off, but we havent been able to travel as of late. So i just have been doing small improvements to my truck, to keep it reliable, and so far, it has been real good.

I haven't had any brake issues either, i'm on the regular brakes, i think it was stopping distance my friend was talking about not how long they lasted, he hasn't had em long enough to wear them out. He likes them im not gonna knock him because i don't have them nor can i afford them. That's usually the big issue with any mod, can you afford it or not, like bigger coolers, or a winch, or new shocks right., you could just say you like your 16's, i kept mine, i wasn't saying anything bad about anybody. I do not have a problem getting tires either, the tires on my 16's in the garage have 50k on them and look new, and i have the same ones on my 17's so i will not need tires at least while i have the truck, and i get mine at Americas tire, so since out here there is one in every town including mine 5 minutes away, its easy. Never had a blow out in my truck so have not had the experience. But i have a matching spare. So i would get a tire when i get a tire. I think my new dodge wheels they look great on my truck, better than half the after market wheels i see. But that's my opinion.

I will report back what they find. - - - Updated - - - Oh and on the tap, what more can i do if i see 12 volts with key on. And if edge says it is fine it can only mean i have a weak IP, but it runs great i can't see how. Is the wire a better tap place, the guy at edge couldn't really say what the module does with the 12 volts it sees, just that it uses that voltage to communicate with the pump. I don't want to try screwing the tap in farther could mess more stuff up.

I called Edge, and what i thought may be true, so in the box it goes, the guy i spoke with is gonna put it on his 01 like mine and check it out. I really hated taking apart my time taking nice wiring job.

I am still a little curious about the popping sound and backfire. Did it do it before the boost elbow install?

Yes i hooked it back up. I just did it to test and see. I will call edge today, i think level 4 and 5 do not work. I dont see any difference from my EZ lol. so much for 500 bucks. You think they would incorporate a safety or a way to tell when its not working, like having the lights flash when attempting a lvl that doesnt work.

Well after some trial and error, i looked around at some other forums and someone suggested unplugging the map but leave harness plugged into comp. I should have seen smoke and more power. Well it ran the same like i had not done anything. so i toggled through the scangauge, and it showed 22 psi boost, and if i toggled to map, showed 22 also, seems i may have a permanately defueled computer or something. It runs good and no codes but my comp feels like my EZ. Any suggestions welcome.

Whats wrong with the stock 3rd gen wheels, there are for the most part truer than the old 16, create better brake ventilation, and look better on our trucks than they do on the new trucks. don't knock everything. They are also very light, well they seemed much lighter when i was changing out my 16's. Some guys like them so they can install 3rd gen brakes which are larger for less brake fade, but i have not had any brake problems so it is a non issue for me. I like them better than aftermarket because they have the ram center cap. and the correct off set so they dont stick outside wheel well.

Great point i thought that while seeing bad results on scanner as well as scangauge, so i purchased a new map sensor and readings are stable, will the comp work without the map sensor part connected, just to see if it fuels?

Thanks i checked and all settings are 1x5, 2x5, 3x5, 4x5, 5x5, i think maybe the fueling settings are not working,i have 12 volts key on at tap and im using the stealth cover, i got 12 volts then turned it a little more according to instructions. Weird though when i was putting the cover on you can see no wire that it taps, must just go through the gel. I wonder if the wire would be more defined and sure of tap.
