How much distance should there be between the bump stop and the axle? I only have about 3 - 3.5 inches. 01 dodge 2500 4wd

I noticed on my 1998.5 dodge that the passenger side is 1” higher than the drivers side? I have not to my knowledge adjusted anything on the truck that would make 1 side sit 1” higher? I measured with a tape measure and it’s 11.25 on passenger side to top of tire and 10.5 on driver side to top of tire. Isn’t there bolts with oblong nuts on control arms? Orrr how would I fix this?

So i was rolling down the free way today and my tire blew at 65 mph. My tires are 285/75 and i was aware they are rubbing and i think the blow out is due to this i have 16x10's i believe with nitto terra grapplers 285.... is it cause of the offset on the rims that it rubs... these are the rims i have: http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Store_Detail.cfm?ID=192660&InfoID=2505&ShowLarge=True&SnipID=4117 I would like to buy the same tire what do i need to do so they wont rub at all? I either have to change my wheel and tire combo to something smaller or im thinking i need a little lift in the front....if i were to lift the front so the whole trucks sits level would this help the tires not rub? The truck is a 1999 dodge cummins 4x4 as the truck sat i always noticed it sag in the front any feed back would help

I'm about to pick my truck up from the shop... they reported a rusted & cracked front coil seat on the front axle. I can't say I'm surprised with all the rust underneath... still one more thing to get tended to. I haven't got the bill yet for finding & fixing the motor-quit-in-the-street problem... or the install of the AD150, big line & pickup. edit OK, I got the truck back. Cost an arm, a leg & a nut!! I had them show me the rusted out spring perch, so I could see exactly what they were looking at. Yup, it's rusted out. I'm not finding a listing for this welded on part. Anybody know where to buy this?

Hey guys, need some help with and 01 2500 4x4 reg. cab 151000mi. my first problem is with the track bar. Bought a truck from an auction, had no track bar. On a budget so went to advance auto parts got an oe track bar, truck has a leveling kit on. Anyway the ball joint end that attaches at the frame doesn't seem to seat correctly its like there just not enough slack in the ball joint. Am I doing something wrong or am I fighting the leveling kit and need and adjustable track. Really thought its would work with just a leveling kit? Tryed everything I can think of it just will not seat correctly you can get the nut started but it dont lay flat if that makes sense. Second problem and the worst is the no bus, no gauges, truck still runs, trans acts like it taking off in a higher gear, no link to pull codes. Did the cluster test get a 920 , 921, 999. I have check the grounds, checked the bus bolt under the fuse cover, check the big harness under the dash. I have unplugged all the sensors except the crank sensor and checked that way. Like I said I am on a tight tight budget and seem to me the pcm is bad want to check everything before buying a pcm. Also if you guys think its the pcm where is the best place to buy on the cheap. Thanks Guys

My front end makes a really loud knock through every single bump and vibration it encounters. I remembered my bolt on the shock looking like this when I changed them but had to get it back together and just ignored it. Only the passenger side looked like this, the drivers side was fine. The shock bushing had so much play it could bang each side of the bolt, and it was incredibly loud. So I got some 10.9 hardened bolts that don't have the thread so far up to wear out that should last forever. Went ahead and did both sides. Got some locknuts so I can do away with that big tab thing. I don't know why they did that tab thing when you can get to it with a wrench easily. Maybe a squirrel slayer or something was it's intended purpose.Knocking problem solved. Maybe this will help someone else.

I am going to try and get a thread going showing all the components on the truck that aren't part of the engine (since I know we have many diagrams throughout the site showing that). I will start with steering and add stuff as I think of it. Here are all the Steering and Suspension components. This is on a 1997 2500 2wd, I will get pics up of 4wd steering components when I get some. Thanks for the help AH64ID! I just got 4wd pics now but I guess there is a 10 pic limit so scroll down to my next post for them.
