2000 Dodge cummins 24 valve Cooling Fan Blades

Recommended Posts

Good morning Cummins World,

yesterday i had an blow out on my 2000 cummins and yes to give most praises to the all time high I'm doing great and made it out ok so I'm very grateful for that... Now i have to get my baby fixed because there is nothing like riding in a 2nd generation. Well my question is does anyone know if the blades on the cooling fan are replaceable withput having to take of the whole assembly.....Two of my blades are bent and the one that is bent the most ended up slicing my radiator so i don't thnek that is repairable. But i would like to know does anyone have any information on the cooling fan. I'm stuck in the middle of knowing where to get an replacement cause from reading other treads seems the oem is discontinued. Or should i try and buy and new aluminum one and replace the whole assembly. lucky does seem to be much damaged to the truck but the left side control arms are bent and i know once my mechanic can look at it and tell me is wrong just hoping doesnt cost me to much to get my baby back..... Please if someone could help me on the cooling blades and lead me in the right direction i would love to be able to get this fix. Im trying to do as much self work as possible without having to pay my mechanic so much..... Please any information would be help and everyone have an nice and blessed day......... Missing my truck already

I think your fan is toast. If the oe is discontinued, which I believe you are right, then even if you could replace the blades they probably are not available either. Seems I remember a thread here where some on found a substitute or a link to a thread with one. A wrecking would be my next advice.
