I just replaced the contacts in my starter.  With 120K on the odometer the contacts were worn through.  I bought the kit from LarryB's and I bought a set of replacement brushes as well.  The brushes in the starter looked great so I opted not to change those.  The contacts were super easy and I am hoping for another 100k out of the starter.

at about 260K my original starter kept sticking in the engaged position....found a local rebuild one for a good deal so I swapped it in.  No issues yet.  Still have my original started in a box on the shelf couldn't bring myself to get rid of it.

Wish I would have kept mine when the contacts went on it also. Did not know any better. Bought a new from Advance auto for $100 bucks with the lifetime warranty and they have replaced it once so far. But I might be doing it again in the near future. Mine seems to be getting a little weak.
