Bolt Length for Stock Air Horn and Heater Grid

Recommended Posts

Help Please.  I have to change out the Air Horn and add heater grid to smog the truck.  Found a loaner Air horn and Heater grid but no bolts.  I have to get the grid.  I was wondering if someone knows the correct bolt length.  I went to ACE and the longest that they have just stick out through the Air Horn.  They are 8mm x 1.25 Pitch X   ___  how long?

Thanks

Michael

I get 6 1/4 (longer than my calipers)

does not include head of bolt or built in washer head thing.  Just the part that goes inside.20180904_182404.jpg.253e781a00d230f91a547e59c39a6cdc.jpg

Let me "bank" that beer.  What this site is all about in my opinion.   I'm  in Seattle, sure would of been great if I could of just called someone in your area, when I was trying to get back from Yuma with a leaky sump with diapers wrapped around tank with bailing wire.  Our overnight spot is Woodland or woodlawn, just north of Sacramento.  Would of been great for someone local to direct me to good mechanic close to them.

I'm a Good Sam Member and they offer similar services.  I'm 80 miles south of your stop over spot.  Let me know!  Beer Cold available but I'll have to go out and get the Diapers!!

Ummm... I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Didn't leave there until I was 20 years old. Now I'm 48 this year. Now I'm just another crazy Idaho redneck.

I left California for that reason. Crazy libtards. :duh:
