I have 4.10's

I have 4.10's in the red 99, plan to get another one but with 3.54's. I plan to convert to SRW, it's an nv4500, I was curious how big of a tire I could run to make the 4.10s= 3.54. I'll probably be on 20x10 or 20x12

Aim for 3.73 ratio. I'm 3.69:1 ratio with 3.55 gear and already hit the 28.04 MPG.

35s get me 3.73 

37s are 3.52 

Anyone know if either of those fit without lift / trimming / none of those stick out spacers.  Probably gunna swap the flatbed onto it.

Now remember for every 1 pound of rotational mass you add will be like 8 pounds on the frame. This is down side of opting for larger tire you can get the ratio right but the added rotational weight still will affect it still. Just be aware.

35 would fit with some rubbing on control arms going to full lock, not sure on 37 never ran them. I know 35 were pretty close on my 96 I had

35s are the largest tire without a lift but you will have rubbing. A level kit would help a bit.

 

37s need a lift.. unless you are willing to Sawzall your fenders. But you will still have rubbing on your control arms..

 

If you dig around on tiresize.com you can find all sorts of interesting tire sizes.. bfg a/t ko2s come in a 34x11.5 or 10.5 by 17 for instance. Comes to a 3.69 effective ratio btw. At least for my truck.. they also list tire weights too

Thank you not sure yet what I'll do, but for sure this one will be a play truck. Dont plan to work it at all except like stuffing a elk in the back or something.
