TC lockup switch

Recommended Posts

I put in a tc lockup switch last night and followed directions from TST. However, after it was all done I tried it out and of course didn't work. My truck is a 99 model. I checked the switch and all the wiring and it seems to be okay. Anyone know what I did wrong or what I can do to fix it?

What kind of toggle switch are you using? I just went through this process a few weeks ago and iused a 3 post toggle switch, the kind that lights up when you flip it on. Long story short when you flip the switch to ground it doesnt actually go to ground it just powers the 3rd post on the toggle switch which makes it light up. I thought the switch was bad at first and swapped it with a plain jane 2 post. Toggle and it worked fine. Also, just to clarify, your supposed to splice into the wire coming out of the pcm. Dont cut it and leave a dead leg.

Yes I am using just a regular plain toggle switch, I checked to make sure ground was working properly and it seemed to be at switch and the orange black wire coming out of on firewall. Yes I also have the relay pulled an a jumper wire installed in place. I dont know why it wont work?

Does your converter lock up at all or just not with the switch. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
