Newly purchased Airdog. Couple Questions

Recommended Posts

I posted this on CumminsForum, but also wanted to post on here for help. Just got my Airdog 150 in today from Vulcan Performance. I have a couple questions before I finish up the install. Since the new system bypasses the stock filter housing, do I just remove the housing, and the old block mounted lift pump all together? Also, do I remove ALL of the old fuel lines? There were two fuel lines ontop of the fuel gauge sender, but now one of them will be removed, correct? What do I block that old open port off with? My last questions would be about the wiring harness. It says in the owners manual about an Indicator Light Connectors. My question is this, are those for the water in fuel light? If I remove the older filter canister, will the Water In Fuel light stay lit on the dash since it would be unplugged?

On mine I used a short piece of hose with a bolt stuck in the end with hose clamps to cap off the lines I didn't need any more. I left the old filter and pump on and plugged the lines. I was worried about the water in fuel light staying on and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get a big line kit and still use the old filter with the fuel heater. Haven't had any issues with not useing it yet.

When I had the AD 150 & big line kit installed I replaced the restrictive banjo bolts with big open fittings from Vulcan. I ordered a couple of extra fittings for the stock filter housing & left it in the system. I had the stock housing serviced & filter replaced with a Baldwin filter. I removed the OEM lift pump but you can't remove the bracket as the bolts go through.
