Death Wobble

Need some help? I have an 05 Cummins with a 6" lift and recently the death wobble is gotten worse and no one seems to know why. The Front end is completely tight, Alignment is good. I have duel stabilizers and a gear box bracket on it. Any suggestions on what or how I can fix this.

Have you checked your tires? Damaged cords (bulge in tire where you can't see it) can make a bad wobble.

Describe the wobble...................... is there any play in the ball joints? The OEM ball joints on the 3rd gens are junk at best with stock tires and only made worse with larger tires.If you have not already done it with the lift you need to replace the rubber busings in the stabilizer and all the control arm bushings with polyurithane bushings, this will help a lot.What 99.9999% of people who think they have a death wobble just have rather minor issues. Unless your front tires get to bouncing off the road and you are totally out of control until you come to a complete stop it is not a death wobble, I have ridden and driven 2 such examples, one was a mid 70's high boy ford with big swampers and the other was an early 80's motorhome, both would get to wobbling so bad they would start front end wheel hopping and would literally get the front tires to bouncing about a foot off the ground once it got going. Makes for an extremely puckered sphynkter for a few hours.

What brand of tires?? BF Goodrich AT's seem to be on many DW trucks. What kind of shocks, and how old??Do you still have OEM ball joints, tie rods ends???? Not a good combo with your setup.Do you have adjustable control arms?? If so, max out the camber I believe.

Yes it has the BFG's...The Entire front end is new with heavy duty no OEM parts. Yes the control arm is adjusted not sure what the spec's are on it....

It seems like anytime the driver's side tire it's a crack or bump in the road, the front end goes crazy and feels like a tire is falling off. Truck bounces side to side. The only way to stop it is to step on brakes and wait for it so slow down. Does not matter what speed. The entire front end has been checked and re-checked and all is tight. There are no OEM parts on it. All have been replaced with heavy duty.

Do you have an adjustable track-bar????? And seeing it's a 6 inch lift, a "drop down" bracket/mount for it????Is it a true lift, like Kore, and not something like a leveling kit???? The leveling kits/blocks shift the axle out toward the drivers side so that the front and rear tires don't track in line. I often call leveling kits, "Death Wobble Starter Kits"!!Fill out your signature so that we know what's on your truck.

you may want to look at any play on the axle side of the TB mount. a wallered mount hole will give death wobble

Do you have the factory control arms still? Ive got a friend with either a 4 or 6" lift on his truck (cant remember which) and he had to put aftermarket control arms on to get the caster back.
