What is your option on brands of 4" exhaust? I am running a MBRP 5" on my 01 its ok but a little to much for the newer truck. And tell you the truth I think I lost low end torque with the 5".Its been a while since I played with exhaust. I went thru 4 sets on my 01. Stock 3", 4" straight, 4" muffler, 5" straight with 5" stacks, to 5" muffler. I am sure there is some new stuff by now.

I checked the voltage in both of my batterys yesterday and they both were 11.84 volts. This is after sitting for 3 days. The truck starts good and charges in the 14 volt range or 13.9 as checked with a meter. After driving the batterys both read 12.5 volts. This morning back to 11.84 volts.I was always told a battery is in the dead range under 12 volts. Anyone got any hints?I did just recently have a jake brake installed in the truck and they put a lead to the battery + side for the power to it. In that configuration power stays on to it all the time. I don't know if I had this condition prior to installing the jake.Truck runs great so I don't want to start digging aroun…

Itryed to install Smarty on my truck the other day and error code came up and would not let me program. So to check out smarty we installed on my buddy's truck and it took no problem. I am starting to think there might be a program already on ECM that might explain the smoke when I crank down on it. What reader do I need to identify whats on ecm?

Hey everyone just want a few opinions. My brother just got a cummins so I might be selling my edge to him since I only use it for the gauges. With that said I am going to have to get a new pyro and boost gauge. I have a banks high ram intake horn but it is not tapped for a boost elbow. Should I tap that or does anyone know how well that boost bolt works?

I installed a new air filter when I bought the truck about 3 months ago and noticed the filter minder was pulled down some so I released it and found it pulled down again. This was a federated air filter with the extra media for heavy dust, anyway I changed to a Wix filter and so far it has not pulled down. Is this normal for it to pull down when it's clean? I know I may have got on it a little and was just wondering what is going on there.

Im so confused :banghead:, and I just bought the truck. I have always wanted a cummin's, I just hope I didn't buy a lemon PLEASE if anyone has had or heard of this I really need some insight here. I'm old fashion and it took a long time to feel comfortable putting something into my fuel like the 2 stroke oil. I was always picky with my fuel, keep it clean, filtered and such. Does anyone else run 2 stroke in their farm equipment ?If you do, have their been issues or improvements ?I have a 40 hp Massy and a 28 hp Kubota lawnmower, both diesel. I'm thinking about starting it in them.

I replaced the OEM bushings today and replaced them with urethane ones from Lukes Links. I got them from Geno's Garage. Had to start the day by going out and buying a 18mm socket. Yep, the track bar bolts are 18mm, and guess who's tool set doesn't have one???!!! It actually comes out really easy. Break the bolts loose, the nuts have an appendage on them so you don't have to have a wrench on the nut, and it basically falls out. No kidding. Mine was that loose in the bracket.Rather than press the old bushing out, I went to my drill press and drilled holes into the rubber at about 5/16-3/8 inch intervals all the way around the bushing and then took a drift and drove what w…

Actually I'm 149+ right now, but I've got a lot of "booked" weekends coming up, and the early goose season starts Sept. 1; so I figured I'd get a head start on things. We're also leaving for North Dakota in October and I wanted all this done prior so I ain't rushing thru this maintenance. What I've scheduled is this: 1. Drain and refill both diffs. 2. Drain and refill the tranny. 3. Drain and refill the transfer case. 4. Drain the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. 5. Change out upper and lower radiator hoses while draining coolant. First time!! 6. Change out the thermostat while doing 4 and 5. First time!!! 7. Change out OEM 7mic…

2003 CR bone stock with a Frybrid WVO system installed but deactivated. Been running from only the diesel system for 4 months (bought the truck in Dec 10) no problems except for a slight miss. About 3 months ago the mis got real bad and sounded like the valve train was trying to escape. Took it to a freaind who ran his OBD scanner and told me # 1 & 5 injectors not firing. Changed all six injectors! No change?? Took it back and now he said the injection pump no good. Changed IP and Lift pump! No change?? Also after the pumps change putting out 0304 code. looked into wiring issues and couldnt find anything. Was told to check wires on the back of the A/C compressor and t…
