    I'm thinking my heater block for intake is not working. Do you get any codes if this is the case. It usually came on in the morning in the past for maybe a few seconds in weather in the low 50's. It starts, but kinda sputters a little. Hoping to hear a little about what you think. Before it gets too cold.i found the article on grid heaters. Sounds like the temps lately have been on the bubble for grid heaters to come on. I'll wait for cooler weather for final diagnosis. But it's on my radar screen.

    Hi Guys,I have a situation where the truck once started (starts very easily) and I start to move off, it will often not change from 1st gear though the engine revs up (2002 auto tranny 57RE). Consequently, the truck moves at maybe 30kph. I have found that if I pull over, put the trans in park and shut the engine off and leave it for a minute or so and then restart and put it into drive, the truck will drive away normally, shifting through the gears as if nothing had happened. For the rest of the day the truck acts and performs normally.I have no codes show up and I have around 12 psi at idle and maybe 9psi at speed.Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening.     I am plan to towing enclosed trailer 7x12 with two Harley road king classic and some of stuffs. It maybe about 5k lbs +\-. I am not understand that sixth gear are not for towing purpose? Also I has seen websites that sell fast cooler kit or other brands that make more quarts in nv5600? Should I get it or stay as stock since I only towing a 5k trailer with 2 harley. I did use towing something else but not as heavy like two Harley. I had fifth wheel setup (it was on before i bought it) but I don't own a fifth wheel trailer.     so it was sooner or later that my master cylinder for the clutch would start to leak from having a stronger pressure plate installed with the valair clutch. i didnt have the funds to swap it out but now i have to and will get parts from somewhere soon. anyone have any suggestions?

  5. Sunday morning the ole girl was deader than a door nail. No juice. :think:Had to go to my fiance and my wedding shower so I couldn't work on er till about 1800 last night. I threw a charger on it, not even 30 seconds later she fired up and ran like a champ. I took er up the street to make sure everything worked out all right, no issues.   6. Hello, I'd like to thank you all for already teaching me so much. This time I'm in quite the bind it seems.My problem started about 6 months ago with what came to be a small surging while maintaining moderate speed ~ 40 mph. I thought it was my foot shaking a bit and thought little of it. 2 weeks ago the surging was terrible and started in the morning while leaving for work.     I can't imagine this is a common problem but I thought I would share my story. I developed a driveline vibration at cruising speed so on my first day off I pulled it in the garage and sure enough the U joint by the rear axle was bad. When I checked the other joint and it was fine, but I happened to push up on the driveshaft and when I did the whole transfer case moved up and down with it! Upon further inspection two studs that hold the t-case to the trans were gone and all but one were backed way out. Also because the one stud was tight the t-case pivoted off of it and put a pretty good crack in my trans tailhousing. It's not leaking and I got everything tightened up with…

    My transmission has lived ALOT longer than it should under my foot with the comp on and up. I drove it heavily on 5X5 for several years before learning the possible weakness of the tranny . I did buy it used and the comp was on it when i bought it but that was all for mods when purchased. just wondering if there is any way i can find out if there was any performance upgrades done without me having to tear it apart completely? i did pull the dust cover which didnt tell me squat and the torque converter does engage in third regardless if the OD is on or not....6 changes in rpm speed through 4 gears (TC engage in 3rd, unlock, shift to OD, reengage). i just h ope somebod…

    I has issue with fuel pressure that I had been seen normal it would be about 20 psi but now it had dropped to 12 to 15 psi even changes fuel filter and adjust te regulation. It don't help..Should I contact the air dog company and see what to do? Or time to upgrade to airdog 100 with two filters??

  14. A few days ago I posted that I was hearing a 'rumbling' sound coming from my truck after starting off slowly, after the first start in the morning. A buddy of mine walked beside the truck the other morning when I left from work, and told me it was coming from the front of the engine compartment. I had already determined that the wheels, bearings, brakes were normal. I looked at the belt on my fuel boss, and it was very loose (the instructions for the fuel boss state not to have it too tight).     Just installed my assassin lift pump and draw straw and I am only getting a slow stream of fuel from the pump.Draw straw was installed by drilling a hole in top of the in-tank fuel module. Drilled two holes in the bottom of the fuel module as stated in the instructions. Ran the draw straw through the top and bottom hole so it would be sitting on the bottom of the tank inside the screened cap and trimmed the straw so it would be as close to the bottom as possible. Ran new hose from draw straw up to the pump, then from the pump back to a T with the regulator.     So in the efftot to elimanate issue's in my tranny before I put on my Master/Slave Clyinder. I took the time today to check the fluid level on the side which seemed almost full. then i took off the shifter and what level should the fluid be at cause it looked about 10 quart's low lol Cause i could see way down there is it suppose to be all the way up to the shifter base?? Cause I have no idea i put a quart in it and i couldn't even tell i had put any in it. So any info would be great

    Started truck today abs and air bag lights are on also ac blower motor would not come on. Started down road blower motor came on and lights went out. Started truck after work same thing no codes anybody had this problem? Thanks ed

    I have had it on my truck now for about 3.5 months now it was at 15psi idle and 22 wot now my idle psi has dropped to 12 but wot is still the same.Will a dirty filter cause this I have not checked it yet but will tomorrow.I changed the filter when I installed the pump I would say that I have about 4000 miles on it.What else would cause this. THANKS

    i was just wandering when you guys rebuild your engines what brand of kits do you use and can any machine shop do the work or is this something you have to make sure they know what their doing? how many of you guys do your own rebuilding, is it pretty easy or a thing a pro should do. i have rebuilt gas engines but never a diesel .

    P0460 P1595 P1693 fuel lever didn't work in two years cruise stopped working over 6 + month ago fuel pressure is 15 at idle and 12-14 at cruise and maybe 12 at WOT Very hard start daily changed both fuel filters one on engine and the small one pre my lift pump nothing changed I ran out of fuel 3-4 weeks ago and had to open up the injectors to get the air out and truck was fine for a week or so after that then the hard starting problem started I reset the APPS a couple of times and does not help at all
