I just replaced the front Brakes, "rotors, calapiers, & pads, Left on a trip to New Mexico the Day after. I noticed a A LOUD clicking in the Drivers side front wheel at the first stop light in town. It continued to do this for about 3/4 of the way and then it quit. anything to worry about?? P/S did not have a torque wrench big enough to set torque on wheel nut, just torqued w/ 3/4 ratchet and pipe

When i am running on the highway @ 45-60 mph with my edge att. box on 1 or 2, (do not have VP pump tapped) and push the pedal down even slightly it seams as if the trans or T/C is slipping. It feels exactly like a clutch slipping in a Manual Trans. mabe not as violent. does not do this running on stock level. T/C was replaced by local Cottman shop w/ what ever brand they carry, was suppost to be HD good for 800ft/lbs torque. Is this a T/C lock-unlock eletcrical issue???

Hey guys, I continue my seach for more MPG and so I called my local diesel shop and asked about prices on Bosch RV275 injectors. They told me that there is no such thing as a "Bosch" RV275. He said that it is an injector that someone has EDM's the nozzle on, AND he said that by doing this it hurts the life cyle of the injector. Questions: Is he right???, and should I care? I have heard good things about the RV275, but do I need to be concerned about it not lastin very long aka wearing out? Ultimately, can I expect any mileage gains out of them? Thanks. 2000 CTD, FASS95, RSD Straight 5", Quad XTZ+ (beta tune), NV5600, FP Gauge

For 2000-2002 Year Trucks (For Owners Without Code Readers) Insert your ignition key. Turn it to the OFF position. Now turn it ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON in less than 5 seconds. Leave it in the on position. In the odometer display it should start to display codes. It starts with P PCU errors. This is to notify you that the error codes are coming. They would show up as Pnnnn. All error codes are listed in 4 digits. Write down all Pnnnn error codes that are displayed. P Done will notify that P PCU error code list is done. Now we display P ECU errors. This is to notify you that the error codes are coming. They would show up as Pnnnn. All error codes are listed in 4…

Specifications Here is a copy of the fuel system specifications from the Dodge Factory Service Manual. Fuel pressure Normal fuel pressure should float about 14-15 PSI running down the pavement. Should never fail below 10 PSI at all. Here is a colorized fuel pressure gauge to give you a clue of the fuel pressure span you want. You want the needle to stay in the green at all times. Yellow zone is a warning that you should check the fuel filter, lift pump performance, overflow valve, etc. This is undocumented maximum pressure is 20 PSI. Now take notice to the overflow valve is set for 14 PSI so excessive pumping of fuel does nothing for performance except …

The main issue with OEM crankcase vent is it is nothing more than a piece of hose mounted to the front of the gear case. The piece of hose elbows over the case and points down towards the ground. There are two versions of this crankcase. One involves a drip bottle mounted on the end of the hose and the other does not. A Technical Service Bulleting (TSB) was released on this issue as well: TSB (09-002-02 Crankcase Breather Overflow). This bulletin warns of potential of extreme loss of oil from a truck descending at to steep of a slope while off-roading. During this loss of oil, oil also has been known to scatter all over the engine and radiator. This scattering of oil c…

Hey has anyone had problems with reading error codes with a ScanGauge II? I'm kind of wondering about this. Being that I got one and had a guy stop me and ask about error codes on his 2001 Dodge Cummins. Well I did the scan with the SG II and came up with only 1 code a P0216 (yeah the death code). But the owner asked me if there was a way to do it without a scanner? So I should hime the key trick... Guess what??? The SG II missed a bunch of codes!!! PPCU - P1693, P0500, P1682 PECU - P0522, P0523, P0216, P1693... :ahh: Felt like a dumb arse standing in front of a guy with a tool I swear by that missed the entire boat load of codes... So have any of you had this occur …

I am just curious as to what upgrades can support around what hp inrease. To my understanding doing just torque converter and valve body would be ok for a little more hp over stock but does anyone know about how much? Also, adding on the input and output shafts, how much more can you then add? My goal for now is a Smarty tuner and 75 horse injectors.

My truck is having a hard time starting. When idling the pump pressure 14. When going 70 it is 11. When trying to start it is 0. I now get the p0216 code and 1693 companion code. It is possible low pressure set off the codes so let's hope that is the case. The codes came a few days after the hard starting started. I have a new oem lift pump. 730k miles.

I have a 01' 24v turbo 2500. Recently I have noticed that the truck does not want to shift at or around the 20 mph mark. I can press the accelerator down and the rpms go way up but no shift or increase in speed. But, if I take my foot off the accelerator , as if I were shifting manually, and then press back down it shifts fine and speeds up, rpm go normal and the succeding shifts are fine as well. Any ideas?
