Hey guys, my AC went out last week and went and had it checked out and I've got a leak at the compressor and another one somewhere else but I can't remember off the top of my head where its at. Shop that looked at it quoted $1100 to fix it. Where is the best place to get an AC compessor and other AC parts for these trucks?

Sometime this year I need to get a carpet set (mine was factory vinyl floor) and my dash is in about six pieces... Anybody buy carpet from Rock Auto? I am thinking of getting it from there.Anybody swap their dash out before? I am dreading taking that thing apart. What other stuff should I change while I have the dash out? The heater core is original, and I am planning on Dyno-Matting the crap out of the firewall, doors and floor for sound proofing.

I am going to replace my rear brake pads, rotors and e brake. question is how to remove the rear rotors. Do you have to remove the rear axle and bearings? I see in a photo about adjusting the ebrake that Mikes rear rotor is removed but the axle is still in place. Is mine just stuck or does the axle have to come out? It is a Dana 80 rear.

Would a gas cluster work in our trucks? Aside from the tach. Now with that, would the tach read actual rpm? Or is it programmed in the PCM? Being the tach is Can controlled. --- Update to the previous post... Well after some more research and this pic: http://articles.mopar1973man.com/images/general/ccd/CCD-Network-Wiring.jpg It seems that the cluster would have its own decoder ring so a tach should show actual engine rpm.....i hope.

I was lucky enough to have my brother visit me this last week and he road in the truck with me a few times. Usually my truck steer's pretty good but it seems like im constantly moving the steering wheel a little side to side. MY brother weighs probably 350 or so and with him in the passenger seat my truck has never handled better, it just went straight and I wasnt moving the wheel at all. What could I do to get this all the time without putting sack-crete in my passenger floorboard?

So I'm replacing the front fenders on my 01 Ram 2500 quad cab, I know there a huge pain to replace. My question is I'm wondering which would be better if I re-welded the new fenders in or just secured them with nuts and bolts? Let me know what you guys think or if anyone has done this.

In the FSM it looks like the pins on the pliers point away from ech other. Never seen a set like this.

Here is the story: Front brakes grinding. I know I'm goingto find metal to metal. I open it up and....metal on metal. . I did reading in my manual and postedon a site and found out that with the 4x4 hub and such that thisisn't just as simple as a 2wd set up. I find the trick to use asocket and extension to help ease off the rotor and hub assembly. I got the axle nut off or rather, loosened(they were easy.I don't know if someone didn't tighten them back up after servicingbefore or what). But I've got big issues now. I loosened all the nuts and put thesocket and extension on the top one on the front side. I had the wifeturn the wh…

Today while driving my ABS & Brake light both came on. It stayed on until I shut the truck off for a little bit. I started it back up & started driving no lights, then all at once they're back on. Turn the truck off, start back driving same deal. Whats going on and what do I do to fix it. Brakes still seem good.
