After my heater core, evaporator, and dash cap install, the blend door would not work. It's stuck in the cooling position. I assumed it was a broken plastic piece at the bottom of the shaft, so I ordered a heatertreater part. Well, the plastic piece is fine. The door is unmovable. The blend door shaft is in position at top and bottom of hvac box - i can see that much. Anyway to rectify this without pulling out the hvac box again. It cost me $70 to have AC recharged and I'd like avoid that. Thanks,Eric

Well, I finally went and did it...was a 8 hour round trip to pick up the bed, but I think it's going to be worth it! Decided to get rid of the dually bed, and replace it with a flatbed-went with a Bradford Built bed. I'm still in the process of pulling the old bed off, and getting the new one fitted, but here's a few pics of the trip! One of these is mine! This one, apparently! My road trip partners! Out with the old! Only thing left to do is pull the front 4 mounting bolts and lift it off...back bumper, receiver, wiring, and fuel filler are all disconnected. In with the new! I've since cut out the built in gooseneck hitch, and …

  3. I have a triple gauge pod with speaker hole for my a-pillar. What three gauges should I get? I originally wanted trans temp, egt's, and boost. But I have been reading a lot about how important fuel pressure is to monitor also. What are you guys running? And what is the best combo set up? If I go with all 4 gauges, where would the best place be to placed the other one? Thanks guys.

Does anyone know where the Joint Connector No. 3 is located on the truck? It has a few wires going to it including 4wd, horn and a few others. I am trying to trace a wiring problem with my 4wd and need to be able to follow the wire to this connection.

Hey Guys,So my dash lights and headlight switch lights are out. The 5amp fuse that protects that circuit is popped and I replaced it, it popped within 30 minutes of replacing. Is this caused by a bad headlight switch? What tests can I do to find this issue? :shrug:Thanks

ok so this is the 3rd time this has happened... got home today and noticed something steamy and smelly coming from the under the truck... walk around and find my passenger side rear hub practically on fire again :cry:same wheel, 3rd occurence now...last time i had the caliper replaced with a brand new one, that was 4 months and about 7000 miles ago. any idea what the hell could be causing this... i don't know much about brakes, and do not have the tools or knowledge to do anything other than change brake pads by myself...

Hi Guys, I noticed that my four wheel drive light is always on but dimly lit. The 4wd drive actuator and switch are fully functional. I have provided the wiring diagram in the following link. The 4wd is switched on the ground side of the circuit. I have power after the switch but loose it before the abs sensor switch and at the 4wd light connection to the dash. i believe that i have a leaking ground, broken wire, or bad connection either before or at joint connector no. 3. does anyone know where this is located? Thanks. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/images/2ndgen24v/antilock-brake-system/4w-abs-2.jpg

01 2500 driver side seat the switch forward and back work fine but there are other switches for up and down and tilt that are not working I swore I checked this when I first saw the truck, Iv only had the truck for 1 week, haven't looked for a bad fuse but I figured if the fwd/aft switch works the same fuse shuld work other switches ?

  10. Everything is back together but I have two problems. 1). The blend door is not working, with heat temp turned all the way up, I only Get cool air. I know the little spring loaded door was reinstalled correctly, and the vacuum line that goes through the firewall is connected and working because all air is directed to proper vents and after disconnecting the vac line that goes through the firewall, only the defrost vents work. Which vac line control the blend door? Any ideas?2). My fan only works on highest speed. Thanks guys!Eric

  11. I am in need of more tie down options than the four measly rear and floor tie downs in my short bed. I have a shell so that takes away the stake pockets. What options have you guys come up with? Hooks, rail systems, I am open to all ideas? Curious to see some setups.

Hey guys, got the trans. temp gauge installed. An isspro ev2. But I don't think its working properly. :banghead:I wired everything according per instructions. But the gauge does not show a reading on temp, nor does it dim.I have checked my wiring and I could'nt even fathom how any of it could be incorrect. I was thinking it was the gauge? Gonna go to the business I went to that I purchased it from. Did not know whether or not anyone would know whats going on?

To make a long story short.. We have replaced both front calipers & hoses on the 99. The pass side brakes, and releases normal. The drivers side is still sticky ?? It does have 4 wheel ABS... I`m not sure of the proper name, but the ABS "valve body"?? seems to be the next thing in line.I`m wondering if anyone else has seen a similar issue:think:

I made this a few weeks ago and figured I would post it up. Basically this shows some principles at work especially how the connecting rod angles and leverage play a key role in everything. This is only showing the thing compressing and then decomopressing, such as if no fuel was injected. I am not about to try and calculate that These charts assume no boost, 100% volumetric efficiency, 14.7psi atmospheric, 100% sealed off rings, and all the other crap that I don't care to figure out at this point. Took enough time to do with all perfect conditions so I am not going to factor in all this other crap. The goal was to see the effect of the crank to connecting rod angl…

I changed my alternator this morning. Went from a Bosch to a Napa Denso. The install went well, but when I started the truck, the scan gauge II did not pick up the water temp for the intake temp for about 5 minutes. I shut the truck off, restarted, and started registering water temp and intake temp after a few seconds. The alternator is putting out 14+ VDC. Rated at 136 Amps. There were no codes thrown, and yesterday was working fine after my radiator flush/water pump repl/and t-stat replacement. Anyone have any ideas of anything I should check should this recur? Thanks.

Is the radiator drain plug repairable? Mine opened and closed without a hitch, but closed it now to fill back up and is dripping and can't get it to stop. Thanks.

  18. I'm a pro welder Looking to extend my 2002 3500 dually from 60" (56"actual) to 84" so I can put a 10' morgan dry cargo van body on it.Frame questions: To do this I'll need extra frame rail material which I'm hoping to rape from another salvage frame. My question is this:Are the 2500 frames the same as the 3500 frames the same material thickness, bolt holes & dimensions etc? I already know length variables exist depending on quad cab short bed etc. Just wondering about all the mounting holes for the axle, & material thickness etc. Thanks

I vacuumed the A/C system down and recharged it with 2 lbs of r-134. It will blow really cold and cycle as it should, then the pressure on the low side kicks up high when the compressor kicks off. It will stay there for about 5 minutes and blow warm air. Then the compressor will kick on (low side down to 30, high at 200 - 75 degrees) and cool as it should. Any one have any ideas what would cause this?
