First off- very good site, stumbled on it in my searches for dodge info. It seems you guys answer questions instead of bashing people's ideas:thumb1:now for my question Does anyone know where to find a decent diagram of the 42 pin connector where the engine harness plugs into the PDC. (c130 in my diagram) I bought the mitchell diy thing yesterday turns out that was a waste of good money. When i told my local dealer what i am looking for they just told me they don't have it(seems like laziness to me) and that what i am trying to do can't be done, well i don't believe in CAN'T! My truck is an 01 1500 that had a 5.9 gas and auto trans. I swapped everything out of my 97 d…

  3. Hey guys, anyone have their Air Bag Light illuminate after R/R Steering Column? I've had it out twice making finer adjustments on the Rock Solid Ram Steering Column Fix (awesome upgrade by the way, totally improves steering response) and after the second time my Air Bag Light stays on. 1. Have I damaged a wire and if so which one?2. Have I damaged the clock spring? If so, how do you diagnose this? I look forward to your responses, and thank you Michael for running such an awesome site. P.S. This is on a 2002 and prior to the install no dash lights and no DTCs.

I installed the flip up tow mirrors a few years ago, and I can't be the only one wondering about this. When you have the mirrors flipped up, there's what looks like a removable tab that's on the arm, i'm wondering if it's not for like turn signals?..... anybody know, or just a pattern in the design

man, i've searched the net for hours, and can't find the info I need. Anyone have info on what otis/evic came on the '01's. I've got an '01 SLT with the standard o/h console. Trying to find out what system I can put in..... did I mention my wrist hurts from the moving the mouse....

  7. Thanks again for all your replies! It was definitely a shot lift pump. We installed the new FASS DDRP pump and it rocks. I am amazed at how quiet it runs. The FP gauge is also awesome and thanks to MoparMan for posting video footage of a properly set snubber valve! Mine is open less than an 1/8th of a turn and like Mikes the needle rises gently to 21 psi at idle and drops to 14 psi at WOT. I got the IssPro Tranny, Pyro, and FP gauges in the pillar pod and a 2" hole saw made a nice spot to the left of the ashtray for my Boost gauge. I will post pics of the setup.Next project is to repair my QUAD XZT+. The mice ate through the electrical wiring this winter as I must…

I am ready to upgrade the front disk brakes on my truck now that I have the 17" rims/tires on it. What recommendations do you have for new disks/pads? My budget will only allow a total of $300 for rotors, brackets and pads, so please keep this in mind. Fancy rotors may be nice to have, but the budget is my limitation.

First off, I have no experience testing or troubleshooting automotive A/C systems, but I'm a quick study. Today is a sweetheart of a day -mid-60s, sunshine, and very light breezes - a perfect Spring day (finally). I'm cleaning up the cab of my truck, trying to get the smoke smell out of it left by the previous owner. I'm spraying the soft stuff with "frebreeze", and decided to spray some into the air intake for the HVAC system. Decided to check the A/C for operation - no dice. The compressor is cycling - runs for about 3 seconds then off for 10-15. Read up on the A/C system in the 2001 FSM (thanks again Mike). Last year I bought a set of A/C guages - haven't used them yet…

  13. My buddy was off today so while I was at work he took my 01 Ram to install FP gauge. He put the required banjo bolt in the bottom of fuel canister complete with snubber, then attached the plastic line fird up the truck and it sucked in air instead of blowing out fuel!! Why doesn't it pump the fuel/air out when running or cranking over? It actually sucks in air and the lines need to be bled. Any help? I am not running an isolator.Arcwelder

I know I have read this before but here goes anyway. My old motor ran around 40 plus on the oil pressure, new motor runs on the edge of the next mark up. A big diff. from before, and I know it could be the sending unit which I can swap out sence I have a new one on my old motor. What would the next mark up be? And where does your gauge run?

  18. While changing the oil on my truck last night, I noticed that water was draining from the A/C hose from the firewall. I have not had the A/C on for the last month. I have the dash selector set to floor or floor/vent. With the engine running, I watched the A/C compressor cycle on and off. What would cause the A/C compressor to cycle on and off when the A/C is not selected? Sorry, posted this in the CR forum by mistake, so am posting it here now.
