This is a small improvement over the stock bumper, I am thinking that if I hit a deer out here at least my truck will not be hurt. It did lower the front end down a little, not sure if I want to get a leveling kit, readjust the headlights or just build a stout rear bumper to compensate? It still has a few minor things that needs to be done to it, not too bad for a home built bumper and at least it is on.

Just went from Pacifica ca to Chillicothe mo and averaged 12.5 hand calculated ... He351cw turbo held well and power on demand with juice hot. Will be doing studs , 62 ii turbo and a 15 gallon methanol tank in back soon. ... Maybe a cam10000 pounds loaded .... 5th wheel ... Only had to downshift due to egt most of time ... ;)

A few pictures of my 99 CTD. I bought it with 316,XXX and it is still purring along. The heaviest load so far is about 26,000 pounds, it was a load of tire troughs on a goose neck flatbed trailer. The truck gets about 20 mpg empty, but only 10 mpg while hauling 26,000 pounds , not bad for a 99.

i was changing my oil today and when i took out the bhaf and intake pipe i saw some oil on the fender well. it is apparently coming out of a hose with a funny cap on it. it sits about 4" in front of the pcm under the bhaf. the hose runs from the fender well to something on the front axle, passenger side. i am not familiar with this at all. there is not alot of fluid on the fender well and it is cover with dust so whatever is coming out of it is doing it slowly. seemed to be spread out to much for gear oil, but then again i dont know what i am dealing with. Can someone please enlighten me.i also heard what i think was the belt tensioner pulley starting to squeal. after it …

Replaced the fan clutch over the summer and have noticed a drop in fuel milage. Saw the video of Mike stopping his fan, got me to wondering, so I went and checked mine same as Mike. Chewed the end off a 2 x 4. Question is how do you loosen one up? It is not frozen up it is just really tight causing the fan to be under load all of the time...

Ok this is where I stand and I cant figure out where I lost some much mileage out of my truck. Where I first bought my truck in 2005 with 70k on the clock, I was getting around 20-21 mpg. Now it seem like I am lucky to get 16 or 17 with 165k on the clock. The only thing that I have done to truck is cut the muffer and soot trap out of it at first. Then about 3 or 4 months ago I put a BHAF on the truck. I havent really change my driving style other I am driving slower now and I switched from running lucas to running standadyne fuel treatment. I did replace my clutch about 3 months ago months from a single disc to a dual, also I did change my lift pump about 4 years ago to a…

Heres my truck. 2002 2500 QCSB 6spd 2wd my daily for now and race car hauler. I got it from the original owner with 159k miles and all paperwork. The inj pump was replaced @ 72k miles. It was stock besides the Bully Dog Torque dog chip. I put a 4" turbo back and CAI. I also put FP, EGT and Boost gauges and of course a Raptor 150 LP. Next on the list is to probably do a bypass filtration system. I recently did my oil change and had it analyzed. Said wear metals were good and can go to 9k interval. I also want to up the injectors a bit and get a better chip. For now the small 65hp chip is fun. Ive also added an electric brake controller and a in dash dvd player and…

Well I got a good deal on a used almost new smarty - so I bought it to see for 1+ month - as I will get (most) my money back.Interesting stuff. I have it stacked with my powerpuck and using level 8. Its pretty aggressive down low with the torque management and the fueling. Overall I would say I like it better than my EDGE or QUAD for responsiveness and DD - just not for the features (no display, no adjustment on the fly).I cant imagine what it would be like with a fueling box like TST. .Any1 wanna lend me one for a month !!! OK, I have all the bits together to install my 2nd hand Juice w Attitude. First step in the instructions is to disconnect the batteries (remove both neg terminals). I'm a bit spooked to do that - am I going to wipe out programs in my ECM/PCM? Will I have to reprogram the throttle position sensor? Will my auto trans start to do flaky things after I reconnect the batteries? Or will it be like most other vehicles, no big deal, no worries.Sorry for the stupid question, just want to be prepared. Thanks for your patience.Joe in St Louis

Hey fellas what are you putting on these trucks for complete exhaust upgrades? Where is the best place to buy a complete kit? I dont want to pay the muffler shop $600 to do it when I can buy the kit and install and weld it myself. Also are results really noticeable? MPG's and Perf.? let me know, thanks

Here's what I have, ambient temps have drop pretty good around here. From 108 to 94 today, a pretty good drop, enough to lower egt's? Probably not. I adjusted valves Sunday from 10 - 20 to 8 - 18. Here's the kicker, my egt's have droped overall 150*. My weight is 11k so I am used to seeing high egt's as a norm. I am driving a usuall route when I notice my gauge is lower than normal, I think its stuck so I give it the gas it goes up and I think this is strange. I am thinking this is big news, so I call Mike, he's like yea yea man I like your new found temps but I got to go, can I call you later Kicked to the curb! Just kidding Mike no biggie. I noticed the turbo spools fa…

After much back and forth arguing i decided to do a full build, my new job assignment more or less requires a truck that is 4wd capable, reliable and gets great MPG.and as such my 99 is well suited minus the missing trans. The problem is the job is in Philly, which is nothing but traffic, mostly going home that is, i'll sit in traffic for the first hour of my drive, once i get out of the construction zone im all good and its highway speeds from there. After a failed attempt at a shift kit install, i sent the kit back to DTt with my VB, where they have been sitting for a few months.I decided to just get a built transmission, i decided on DTT since they already have the shift…

In the quest for more power, Current plan is try to find a s480, not much luck, Thoughts of a supercharger always take top honors, even if just casue it looks cool. On the other forum with the superchargers, a previous setup he ran was triple turbos. Basically splitting primary turbo in half. More or less. What about using one of those 351 variable turbos parallel with my turbo. The vgt should spool quick get it going and then the bigger turbo will catch up, then the combined turbos would equal a big single that wouldnt normally be able to be streetable in a DD. Some high end cars have sequential turbos, but I am not sure if the other takes over completely or if they run …
