Check this out I've been wandering through the database of applications for Ubuntu (Synaptic Package Manager) and stumbled across a cracking tool for hacking wireless signals. Produced for Linux... http://www.aircrack-ng.org/ This is why I really don't believe in wireless Internet nor like using it...

I figured I'd post up here since many of you guys seem very knowledgeable on many subjects. But I'm looking into getting some type of welder, preferably MIG, something fairly easy to use. I have not welded since high school and that was fairly minimal. But I've got a few projects planned that need to be somewhat customized. I may not even be able to get everything I need done with ONE machine, but if I can wing it, I'd like to. I need something that I can use for something as heavy duty as welding steel to steel for adding some boxes, rack and hooks to my work truck ladder rack. So obviously I need something that will make a decent weld for safety reasons. I also need mak…

Okay boys, I got me a bare bones trailer here. Used to be an old enclosed trailer for a roach coach kind of thing, IIRC.Father in law was not using it, so we tore it all down to the frame. Its rusted up, and the dovetail welds are separating from the frame rails. Trailer tongue hitch says its rated for 5k pounds. It will probably need new trailer brakes. Has not been used in a loooong time.Ultimately, I wan't to convert it over to a firewood trailer, if possible. If not, maybe make it an utility trailer? Before I can go ahead with doing anything, I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me out on picking out what kind of steel to go with. Its gonna need to be bee…

Not looking for sympathy, just need to express myself. Mom lost her short battle with cancer Tuesday evening while she slept. We buried her Saturday morning next to my Paternal Grandmother. So she is with the rest of the family that has passed before her, and they are showing her the ropes, as it were. It took 6 months, and she fought it hard, but cutting edge chemo couldn't even slow it down. 6 months ago it was a very small spot on the pancreas, and the chemo was started immediately. The way the doctors explained it, this type of cancer is not really even a cancer in the conventional sense (malignant cell growth). It is like a seperate organism growing in the body. On a…

Have an old JD tractor, model 1050. Broke the housing (CH19231, which is a sub for CH 19158), non repairable. Went to the local JD here and they said the part is obsolete! Anyone have one just taking up shelf space? Anyone know of a JD junkyard by chance? I am going to post on the tractor forum as well.

(The Best Years in Life) For many years I used to go camping with family and friends on practically every major holiday. On the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years holidays, our camping outings usually began as soon as we concluded family meals and get-togethers and, more often than not, we would leave the family festivities and head down to a cabin we built deep in the woods on the banks of the South Sulphur river to camp out with just the guys. Some people called those outings "hunting", but I thought of them more as "adult Halloween" - because we would get all dressed up in our spiffy stealthy hunting outfits and then proceed to build a blazing fire, coo…

What I find funny those who have doubt about a Co. that has been in business for almost 4 decades. Racers and just users that tout the benefits of Amsoil for others to hopefully enjoy the advantages of using an superior oil. IMO those whom doubt the use of Amsoil are the losers as while I am reaping the benefits. I recently did a show in Springfield MO the guys that shared their use of Amsoil was worth the show in itself. Yet they will allow paid advertisements full of bogus facts to sway their opinion. For more info on Amsoil go to www.FreeOilHelp.com or www.BillsOilHelp.com I know I am venting but some times that what it takes to get attention. Bill

I finished cooking my breakfast this AM, and I turned on the "boob-tube" to catch the local weather on some channel. Long story, short............I paused on one channel because I saw Julie Newmar......aka "CatWoman" from "Batman" on the screen. Heck, that leather jump suit and all..........I just had to pay my respects while eating my bacon and eggs!!!! Anyhow, once the show was over, guess who can't get the "Batman" theme song out of his head all day!!!!!! Granted; it's got a great guitar lick and easy lyrics to learn...................but come on!!!!!!!!!:lmao2::lmao: --- Update to the previous post... For those that remember. http://3.bp.bl…

Just trying to get to know the folks here and thought I'd ask what everyone does for a living? Some of you know enough that I'm guessing there are at least a few Dodge techs amongst us? Maybe?I'm the Equipment Manager, basically a service/fleet manager, for the golf and grounds department at Turning Stone Resort in NY. I manage 3 shops with 6 Equipment Techs and we maintain and repair all the equipment for our department. Everything from chainsaws to excavators for a crew of 125+ operators during the growing season and 50 operators when we are on our snow plow schedule. I also have my own repair business that I run nights and weekends. Mostly turf equipment but I occasion…

As a kid I have always dreamed of flying. But not just flying anything. I'm talking about flying the fighter jets! I loved how they could be the big dog of skies. Growing up though, I started noticing that is not so much of a reality for me, haha. Although, if I could have ever gotten in and flown, I would definitely have tried to be an A-10 Warthog pilot. Those things are just too cool!Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here is in the Air Force, or has been recently. This may not even be a viable alternative for me, considering how things are going. But I figure this can't hurt to talk about. As we all know, finding work and staying busy is getting harder. In the last 3 y…

Okay guys, I could not find the thread on the topic of the 911 forum, but, I suppose this is appropriate enough.I noticed a flaw about this idea...Its nice that we have this 911 forun going and all.BUT, I gave it a thought for a second while I was driving...How 'am I gonna get ahold of someone if there is an emergency and I want to see if someone is in the area or get on the forum? There is only a couple of solutions, and maybe it has already been addressed.1. Pre-plan your potential contacts if you are going through that persons said area.2. Have a data phone3. Have a laptopAnd hope that with solution 2 and 3 you will have enough reception to access the information on the…

...for obvious reasons :)Ubuntu 11.10 on my Gateway LT2811u netbook, right now. I likes it on this little box, because it's only got 1GB DDR3 ram, and Linux doesn't bloat the services like Microshaft. So anyhoo.. I've got this little netbook, and I'm considering adding a nav/gps setup to it and use it in the truck, since my Garmin nuvi decided to take a dump..However, I can't really find any good info on respectable GPS/NAV applications for Linux. Ever considered this? Researched it any?Just curious..

(sorry it's in CAPS, but that's how my mom sent it to me, and I wasn't gonna re-type it..) LAST WEEK, ETHEL CHECKED INTO A MOTEL ON HER 60TH BIRTHDAY AND SHE WAS A BIT LONELY. SHE THOUGHT, "I'LL CALL ONE OF THOSE MEN YOU SEE ADVERTISED IN PHONE BOOKS FOR ESCORTS AND SENSUAL MASSAGES." SHE LOOKED THROUGH THE PHONE BOOK, FOUND A FULL PAGE AD FOR A GUYCALLING HIMSELF TENDER TONY - A VERY HANDSOME MAN WITH ASSORTED PHYSICAL SKILLS FLEXING IN THE PHOTO. HE HAD ALL THE RIGHT MUSCLES IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES, THICK WAVY HAIR, LONG POWERFUL LEGS, DAZZLING SMIL…
