Stumbled upon this by accident a few hours ago, don’t ask :rolleyes:So we see how similar diesel and a pecan are. This shows exactly how diesel fuel works in the engine. The only difference is that the combustion chamber raises diesel fuel to the auto ignition temperature instantly since it is a mist and takes next to no time at all to get mist droplets to absorb the surrounding heat and ignite. This also shows how the oil in nuts can be used as a fuel, since it is very apparent how it has the same characteristics. I was pretty amazed by how much flame it produced and the duration of it, out of just one little pecan.

I can't think of anything to post privately. I think the purpose of participating is to share. I guess if anyone wants to call me a bad name they can PM me.Maybe we could plot a rebellion & hold Mike hostage until he builds a "directory" post stickied in each catagory with a link to the information. I've been doing this on my MS site... anytime I research something for someone I add it to the directory. Russ

So I was messing with center console and everything was in the sun and I could barely hold it, so I decided to have some experiments, the results were pretty incredible. All of the things had been in direct sunlight for hours and its about 95F right now. So here's the results from the infrared: Metal on screwdriver: 185F Grey plastic for socket kit: 177F Seat: 155F Tires: 180F Aluminum Rims: 89F Aluminum Tool Box (the ones for truck beds..): 89F Rocks in driveway: 120F Pretty amazing. I will see if I can find anything that breaks 200F. Maybe I have a black impact socket in the sun somewhere. ---------- Post added at 04:03 PM --------…

I'm sitting here working the forum and listening to the scanner of the local sheriff. About 2 miles from me a motorhome had a flat tire not a blow out but just a flat tire. The onboard computer shutdown the engine and left the motorhome stranded in a blind corner. The local sherif was calling for a tow and the owner must of a found a way to temporary disable the tire sensor to get off the road... They are now calling off the tow truck... I'm so glad I don't have all hese weird features on my truck... I use what called a tire pressure gauge and check my tire pressures often... In 24 years of driving I've only had a few flat tires... Mostly being off road...

I swear I am posting too many new threads! Anyhow, I took my seats and everything out to take out the dash and got lazy with the center console. It hasn't been in place for 2 weeks now. I slid it back in place today and absolutely hated it. I didn't realize how much easier and free my right arm was without that thing there. So I video taped what I have made so far. I need some ideas on what else I should add. I want to hear any and all ideas! I don't care what it is, I want this thing to be awesome when I am done. I don't care for an armrest part of it anymore, you go without it so long and don't even notice it, and the "open-ness" is sooo damn nice. So yeah, te…

A few weeks back, a few folks were having some issues with their A/C on their trucks and A/C tools. Thought I would post this here. I got the email notification this morning. Though maybe some of you who may be looking for A/C and equipment might be interested. http://www.foxruntools.com/ Moderators: I didn't know where else to post this so please move it if this is not the right place.

a 1989 Jaguar XS6... pretty color but "as is" this auction example is a piece of crap. Dear Daughter's VW broke down... It's been at a garage for a week. With herself & husband & toddler to transport... she'd borrowed an aunt's car. After a week, it had to go back, thankful for the use. So wife left daughter with the Subaru while she tried out a number of vehicles to borrow off her brother's used car lot. Admittedly these vehicles were not ready to sell, but she went through several that she took back before the Jag. The J had one headlight out (H3 sealed beam) but had a spare in the trunk... we installed it yesterday in about 2 hours. The door locks …

I got bored yesterday and decided to head down to the lake. I never go anywhere or do anything so figured it was time to try something new lol. I usually just watch the boats at the edge of the water but somehow stumbled upon a trail. I followed this trail for hours, even sidetracking up a creek for half and hour then backing back up to where i left off on the trail and continuing on. It was raining pretty good the entire time so I was soaked. The trail was actually just a foot wide cattle path the whole time which actually kinda made it nice, I don't like trails that make it too easy, some challenging things are fun haha. So I had my phone with me and I see it didn…

...you get that feeling that things are going to blow up one of these days? Maybe so, but people are getting real edgy. Living in the wilderness area takes me away from that "flat lander" mentality. A lotta things that are being hyped/written out there have no validity to them. They trigger the stress and upsets that people are experiencing. The wilderness has always kept us well grounded and balanced. Let me explain something to you.....when you step foot into a forest you are entering the ONLY lawful enviorment in this world. Everything in that forest Obeys the Law of God...I repeat. It is truly a lawful enviroment that obeys the law of God. If you look at the …

You may be wondering what the overall economic picture is here in a wilderness area and I can say that it is very very quiet and no activity. Highway 95 has very little traffic on it and the camping and atving crowd is not here. Part of this picture can be blamed on the rainey weather, but still there is little activity about in the back country. The high country (6ooo ft) is out of the question because you still have a lot of runoffs and fast flowing streams. Not safe for anyone at this point. The people that are involved in white water rafting and not seeing any business. The are still fishing..but then they are always fishing year round. Another sign of the slo…

I am far from smart when it comes to steering and since I hardly mess with it and hear different names for a lot of things, I can hardly keep up. So I am going to try and make a thread showing all the components so everyone can understand just what it is everyone is talking about. Problem is, I need to know what I'm talking about first So I am posting pics of things I am not 100% sure on. I have some theories on what they are called haha, but not sure. If anyone can help me, just list the letter and it's name possibilities. What I mean is put A: track bar, pitman arm, brake..... all the possibilities that one might call it.When I get this all figured out, I am goin…
