Hey Gang...I got called out for a fire call tonight. Basically it was a local woman driving home from work and fell asleep at the wheel. Make matters even more interesting the total trip from town to her house is about 5 miles and she was less that 0.1 from home where she went in at. She was not hurt but the vehicle is totalled. So why I'm posting this I know lot of you drive long distances at times. Please... If your not feeling good or just not firing on all 6 cylinder please make a phone call and get a ride home. No sense in getting hurt or damaging your vehicle just because you going to push those last few miles home. I'm posting this because I care about all you and d…

We really need to get more people involved in the members rides pages, thus helping out the TOTM also. Of all the hundreds of members that somewhat regularly cruise the site, we have very few trucks in the members ride pages. And some very active members still haven't posted up their rides. Lets get some action in there and show off these awesome trucks.

Yea... Pplayx3 came out to the house to meet me in person and talk a bit of shop. He's driving a good looking 99 Dodge 3/4 ton. Street machine, that is totally stock and most likely going to stay that way for long time according to Pplayx3. He should pop on the site this evening and respond...

The coach had put together the perfect team for the Chicago Bears. The only thing that was missing was a good quarterback. He had scouted all the colleges and even the Canadian and European Leagues, but he couldn't find a ringer who could ensure a Super Bowl win. Then one night while watching CNN he saw a war-zone scene in Afghanistan . In one corner of the background, he spotted a young Afghan Muslim soldier with a truly incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into a 15th story window 100 yards away.KABOOM!He threw another hand-grenade 75 yards away, right into a chimney.KA-BLOOEY!Then he threw another at a passing car going 90 mph.BULLS-EYE!"I've got to get this…

I cannot figure out a format to make this work how I want. It's a tree of wires meaning you start with the shutoff solenoid with 3 wires coming out of it. I have the wire colors listed in the orange and then I have where the wire goes. If the wire goes to its final destination, it is colored red (as is the case for the ground). If not, it is green meaning you can keep going. Each orange being the wire to the next destination from the last green cell followed by the new destination under the orange. Simple, until you end up with something that does not leave with just one. The shutoff solenoid relay being the 3rd wire is listed with 3 orange wires coming out o…

There may be a few threads on this on the CF, but I came here first because of how I highly value opinions here.I was cleaning out the ole girl a couple days ago and noticed I had a little drop of water up near the rear view....on the inside. Now we have had a few torrential down pours lately and I thought maybe just coincidence... all the same I knew that when my truck was redone prior to my ownership they did a poor job on the cab lights and left a mess of sealant around the center light so... my curiosity got the immediate best of me. I climbed up the side of the truck and while I found absolutely nothing wrong with the cab lights because I was distracted. I did fi…

I try to keep a small compressor in the trunk... for those "Oh Crap" moments. The better of them the plasitc locking lever broke... I hate to throw the unit away for a dumb coupler. It's a small hose, undoubtably some metric size. I was thinking of a hose barb to pipe, then a coupler. Then a lock on air chuck... Seems complicated. Any ideas?

How would I disable all the double click cookies that some sites have? What I am talking about is when I go to some sites that have articles I will click on an article and I always click the back button to go back to the main page, but some sites load so many cookies that you have to click 6-8 times to go back using the back button or else I have to right click on the back button to get the dropdown menu to pick the original page, some sites are getting horrible and in the secondary page when I click the go back menu there are sometimes 6+ double click ad cookies that load after the main page. So how do I get around this to get back to clicking the back button one time to…

Gun Control. It already has started at Cabela's....There was a bit of confusion at the Cabela’s Sporting Goods store this morning. When I was ready to pay for my purchases of gun powder and bullets the cashier said..........."Strip down, facing me."Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the gun control whackos running amok, I did just as she had instructed. When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to my credit card.I have been asked to shop elsewhere in the future. They need to make their instructions to us bitter clingers a little clearer!

Working at one of my accounts today, one of the Amigos told me the farm manager OKed me to cut and haul firewood off the farm!!!! Lalo, the amigo, showed me the first tree they'd like removed..............it's a monster white oak, with about a 36-40 inch truck that fell last year during the drought/heat wave. That tree alone is probably 3-4 cords of wood at least!! It also took out a few 10-12" maples in the process. Looks like I'm gonna be set with wood for a while. Gonna start cutting and hauling on Sunday!!! Should probably get a new chain or 3 also!!

There is some discussion in Oregon and other states to place a higher tax on vehicles, 3/4 ton and larger trucks. Are they picking the wrong people? Should EPA and state gov'ts be looking at airlines instead? How many gallons per person is burned to say fly an hour.In the same 6-700 miles it only takes about 33 gallons for two people to get to point B with our trucks. If I'm taking my rv it takes 46 gallons but don't need a hotel when I get there.Anyway look at the sky in the morning between major cities. Contrails everywhere.Do the planes have cats, DFP filters, exhaust gas recirculation or any kind of smog control like our trucks?Just kickin' it around for any thoughts/ …
