I'm still working on all this so it's a mess but you can see some things amidst it haha. On the very right hand side (injection crap) the first column is my truck and the second column is variables if my truck had 50% efficiency. Bigger engines are pulling off 50-60% efficiency...so its not impossible! Now the issues I'm running into is I have no way of knowing the HP of my truck based on mpg and other things. Just because I get XX mpg doesn't tell me anything as to how much power it takes to go 60mph even if I stayed at that speed the entire time. You might think it sounds easy enough if I used BTU content but I have no clue knowing how efficient the engine is …

  2. Thought this might be something from your old marine days and you could give some advice to him on a farymann engine in a sailboat. Here is a link to another diesel site. I myself had never heard of this brand of engine. http://www.midwestdieselconnection.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6564

I'll be involved in a Mass Causality Event training with both Idaho County Search & Rescue and Salmon River Rural Fire Dept. So grab both sets of gear and haul out to the training site tomorrow. As far as I know of its involving 3 counties (Adams, Idaho, and Valley Counties) then going to have EMS, Police, Search & Rescue, Fire, and a few other agencies there too. So its going to be a big event. I'll see about grabbing my camera and taking it with me.

Making a food dehydrator and I decided on using a hot plate and a pc fan for heating and air movement. My problem is that I cannot just wire in the PC fan to the hot plate and plug it all in. Any ideas to get the pc fan to work with the hot plate with one plug? Was at radioshack and the guy suggested an adapter. But then I use two plugs instead of one, and the plug woud be another $20-30.

Now, this is something I never thought I would see happen again... http://www.idahogasprices.com/index.aspx?fuel=D&area=Coeur d'Alene&dl=Y&intro=Y Now, the speculation begins... One thing I have heard so far is the fiscal cliff drama being the cause. Saying that with the next recession at the doorstep fuel is going down because of it. But everything else is gonna skyrocket.

I got one for my son for Christmas this year.... What a hoot! I got him the basic starter truck, with brushed motors, nimh 3000 mah batteries.. Even in this configuration, this thing is awesome. This one supposed to be 30+ mph.. fast enough to out run the dog! The engineering, and materials are out of this world... not to mention the myriad of possible 'upgrades'...(can you tell... I'm new to RC?)who would ever thought you can link an 'i' device to the controller, and have data (dashboard) right under your nose... complete with GPS accurate mph?.. (who would have time to look???) just need to add the proper sensors, and can …

snowing a blizzard out there. Just as it was 23 years ago. I remember it because we were married on the 30th. The rehearsal didn't happen, nor the dinner. In the morning, my bride & her MOH used her 4X4 to get to the church... eventually our families arrived. The caterer was wrecked on the way to the church.I'd been staying in a camper, down the street from her house (she had young kids). The pipes in the camper kept freezing. The campground owner thought he was going to charge me for keeping the camper all winter. I had planks under the tires & the camper off the jacks. Jan 1 I locked the 5th wheel on it & pulled it out through over a foot of unbrok…

Students in an advanced Biology class were taking their mid-term exam. The last question was, 'Name seven advantages of Mother's Milk.’ The question was worth 70 points or none at all. One student, in particular, was hard put to think of seven advantages. However, he wrote: 1) It is perfect formula for the child. 2) It provides immunity against several diseases. 3) It is always the right temperature. 4) It is inexpensive. 5) It bonds the child to mother, and vice versa. 6) It is always available as needed. And then the student was stuck. Finally, in desperation, just before the bell rang indicating the end of the test, he wrote: ( Scroll down) …
