Well, I'm 35 and I got in my first accident yesterday.  It was my drill weekend and I was heading back to work from lunch.  Sucks to lose your DD especially when it is reliable and paid for.  I was coming through an intersection with a green light and the security forces come through on a red.  They turned their sirens on as we both got in the intersection...too late to do anything with.  Neither of us were going very fast, speed limits were only 20MPH.  Nobody hurt, but my truck just turned into my DD.  At least fuel is below $2/gal.

  • Hawkez, you need to start a new thread 'Need a new  vehicle".  We can all chime in and tell you what to buy and how to fix it.  You'll need something like this.

There will have to be a new thread of how I am going to pay for a new vehicle first.  :broke:

No foolin'.  I'll end up getting a loan from a guy named Vinny who has an office in a shady restaurant.

Watch out for them urban utes.  And my cousin Vinny is good people, I don't care what those pin heads call him up in Rochester.

I finally got the police report back and the other driver was found at fault.  The report says she "was using emergency lights in an unauthorized manner and ran a red light.  Also, she failed to ensure the intersection was clear of all traffic before proceeding through the intersection, due to using the emergency lights.".

The really funny part of the investigation is the statements from her and her partner.  Apparently, the only reason that she was running with her lights was because, as she put it in her statement, she had to "urinate extremely bad".  Sucks that I'm out of a car because someone was about to pee their pants.

Now to find someone in the gov't to pay for this...

Wow,

That is such a blatant abuse of power.  I'd be pissed.
