Where can I get a ECM repaired? I need someone I can trust to repair my E

CM for my 98 24 valve.

I went the internet rebuild route 6 years ago and it was a terrible experience. I would personally recommend going thru Cummins to get one. Though I have seen some posts on CF of rebuilds that have been succesfull and decent prices thru dealers. Just dont have any experience with this as of late. Seems some folks have also had success with used ECMs. Still a crap shoot IMHO. I think it is a matter of money or how much risk you can take. Sorry not to be of any more help than that.

I did the internet thing on a jeep one time it wasn't good so now I am taking my time to find the right place. Thanks for you reply

 

I got mine 4 years ago thru the dealer, was $1300 if my memory is correct

No. There is about 55 different version of software out for each year. So you can't just grab any old ECM you'll need to reflash it no matter what. So if you did buy a used ECM from someone you would have to set an appointment with a Dodge Dealer so you can have it reflashed. To reflash an ECM you'll need to install it once you get to the dealer.

Any ecm hardware wise will work ,but it will have to be flashed.
