Ok guys i have a 98 24v that won't start. I have checked all fuese and relays , lift pump , crank shaft position sensor was just replaced. I an not getting a wait to start light on dash or the lift pump does not run when hooked up to the pig tail.

Wait till the "wait to start" light comes on.

 

If the Wait To Start doesn't light up the ECM is brain dead and it will not start nor will not fire up the lift pump. This is a sign of a bad ECM and excessive AC noise issues from the alternator.

I have to agree with Mike. Have you checked for trouble codes?

I am not getting the wait tip start light now but I was before. I can't get my scanner to connect to the computer anymore.

sounds like your ECM is no longer working.

 

 

I would prob for power to the ecm to make sure it is getting power and ground at the plug.
