Posted January 10, 20178 yr Passed my Oregon state real estate exams today. Going to be selling real estate here soon. Should be licensed by the end of the month. After 30 years of landscaping, my body is toast. I'm not 65 yet and need to be working to afford health insurance. So a new phase of life for me.
January 10, 20178 yr Author Landscape used to be good...30 years ago we were getting $35 per hour. Today, that if you're lucky. Illegals have slowly diluted the wages. Between that and my tired, old body...I give up. I used to make $100k a year. Now I'm lucky to hit $35k. If not for health insurance I'd retire. No debt, house free and clear.
January 10, 20178 yr Staff At 65 Medicare kicks in but you still have to pay some to the Feds for it. I think my wife pays a little over $140/mo. Then there is the part B Insurance that covers what Medicare doesn't. That can run hundreds of dollars a month.
January 11, 20178 yr Congratulations on the new career. Just dont be posting your new listings in the classified section.....
