Have a 1999 2500 Cummins 4x4 auto, installed the quadzilla adrenaline and all was working good then the boost started intermittently dropping out and now shows no boost, wondering if anyone else has run into this?

I did back probe the quad and the MAP sensor voltage matches what the snap on scanner is reading as well. Sent the module in already and they said everything is fine and sent it back

Thanks for any help

Have you replaced the map sensor?

Ya with a cummins sensor

Messed with it some more and found the quad would starting reading 1 psi when the actual psi was 16

check the jumper inside the unit.  16 psi is about the offset for a late truck vs early truck map reading.

One more for you: Did the jumper removal and now my quad will randomly drop boost, back probed everything on the MAP side and am not getting any drop out, any suggestions?

Please datalog the issue so we can see what you are talking about.

:popcorn:I have had this on mine as well where it seems like the MAP just loses its signal very briefly every now and then.

looking at the log it shows that boost is falling off to 0 at sub 16 psi points.   when boost is below 16 psi the quad is asking the ecm what bosot pressure is.

My guess is either your map is dying or you have a bad pin in your map harness causing boost to drop out randomly.

Just kidding, it started acting up again, anyone else have this issue with 1999 cummins specifically?  Any help is appreciated, these VP44 trucks can be frustrating sometimes.

Thanks!

Did it just start happening again?  So it was fixed for a year?  If that's the case check your pump tap again.  Maybe it worked lose again.

Like myself the ground wire came loose. The bolt I used on the hood hinge worked loose from all the vibration of washboard roads and loosened up and created all kinds of hell when the Quadzilla losing power. I part I missed on mine at least I was check +12V power but forgot the grounds.
