I'm going to replace the left and right mount with new OEM's.

What is the best way?

Is there a way to get a bottle jack under the motor or pan flange  and do one side at a time?

Or do you have to use an engine hoist and lift from the top?

Any tips?

Bottle jack and one side at time would be me. Unbolt the mount from the engine and pull them up.

OX how do you like your rv275, edge ez combo?

  • I love the combo, I also had a Hypertech programmer that was in conjunction with the EZ so according to both their advertised HP increase of 60hp a piece really pulled great.

You can buy urethane bushings and have the centers pushed out of the OEM brackets probably cheaper if you have a machine shop close.

I'm thinking the bottle jack as well.

My biggest concern is a safe spot to put the pressure without deforming the pan or gasket.

I do appreciate everyone's input on this!

I thought about that but found some new OEM's.

That's not how stacking CANBus programmers works.  You had the EZ overriding the Hypertech's ECM flash.  Still just 60 hp.

Putting a 2x4 or 2x6 horizontally under the sump should allow you to transfer the loading to both sides of the pan.  Or a vertical 2x4 pushing up on the bolts.  But that could get sketchy.

I bought the urethane inserts from Geno's, you have to remove the old rubber and steel from inside the mounts then they just push through.

I was installing a reman at the time so it was easy access to remove.
