So I searched a whole lot, maybe I have just been unlucky, but I have not found a better blower option for 2nd Gen A/C blowers. My brothers 4th Gen pushes much more air. I am not looking for colder air. I just replaced my entire A/C system. I want more air. I dont care that the system was designed for the stock blower. Has anyone put a 4th Gen blower in a 2nd Gen? Or is there a better blower? Maybe wire the stock pig to 24v?

Thanks Bacon Creek. When I get time to get back at it, I will look to see what the amp draw and rpm are supposed to be and compare them.

What about something like a Transformer and the rheostat to control voltage. Look at some kids toys, a lot of people put 12 volt in 6 volt toys 24 volt to 12 volt toys, there is a lot of literature on a how they can control voltage too.

Do you need any special pics while I got this thing apart? If it would help or not idk lol.

Stanley, you are a bad mofo! That saved me some time! I can calculate that all out if you can drop a tape measure or a known object into the pic. Can you also get me a height dimension of the lip on the bottom of the box, and maybe the height of the squirrel cage?  Thanks a million.

If you do the Heater Treater blender door upgrade, do not press it all together too tight. If the blender door sits too low it will hang up in the box. Its hell getting it separated once the box is in.

@Celtic Clamper yea I can get some measurements for ya. Ive never heard of this upgrade... Im still trying to figure out what kind of foam I am goin to use to seal it all up with lol...

Google heater treater and you will see. It replaces a plastic part on the blend door with a metal one and you reindex the motor that drives the door. The plastic part cracks or brakes and throws the door out of whack.

Since you have the hvac apart it is a worthwhile thing to add. It is very esy to install while box is out. Much more difficult to do with the box installed. The space is very limited. The part is pricey for what it is but I replaced mine while I had the box out for cheap insurance.

This little guy right here? 35$

Yes, and they also sell a full kit with blend doors and all

Thats the part. It was only $25 when I bought mine. Even pricier now. But I will say if the plastic breaks later the 35 bucks will look more reasonalble. At least thaT is how I looked at it at the time. I hate laying in the floor board with 2/3 of me hanging out of the cab.

@dripley did you buy it directly from Heater treater or eBay

Heater treater. Never looked on Ebay. I am surprised some one has not copied it cheaper though. Not much to it. It did include a 9v battery to index the motor.

blend door usa i think is a better alternative than heater treater.

That part was the only one I saw for the 2nd gen... maybe I missed it?

I could have swore I seen it for our model, but maby not  tried finding now and only seeing it for 02-08. So maybe that's the only one for $35

All I saw on their site was a 300 dollar kit. Did I miss something?

Maybe that's what I was thinking of too, I knew I seen one recently. Didn't I post something earlier quoting you with 2 links, one for 35 and other for 250 or something

Edit

It does look like blend door usa kit for 300 comes with the $35 pice that heater treater offers.
