Well finaly got my qaudzilla back. They replaced the circuit board and sent a brand new wiring harness.Reinstalled it last night and now have some different issues. First off i now have a whining noise at all times that follows engine rpm. Second my truck idles a bit more rough with it installed and when free revving the engine at about between 1k and 2k rpm there is a dead spot in the rpm band. i can stomp it at idle and it will just drop out and come right back. When returning the tune level to zero it idles and revs perfect. Wht the heck is going on? This is stock v2 tuning as well. Havnt started the custom stuff yet. The rpm issue also does it under load. I will get on it and it will hesitate a tiny bit and go again. Please help. Thanks

  • Step #1, is to understand the tuning.  you need to read the below article and understand what the tuning variables do.     If you are not willing to put in time to tune your truck, then it

  • Don't play with wiretap until you get your canbus fuel map adjusted properly.

  • They abandoned Tfarao's truck, it was still stuck on lvl 1 when he got it back.   I can't remmeber much about it, but I think tyler said it wouldn't do more than 10-20 mph the way it was.

7 x 0.010 injectors

You could load it and back down the timing 1 degree for all bands. It would work for smaller injector.

I can’t seem to make the tunes download to my iOS device and load in the app. I went over the import guide and got it to work once but can’t make it work again. Very frustrating....

open your app,

create a tune in the app

export the tune.

edit the tune using the tune builder to match the hosted tunes.

import the tune.

IOS is dumb.

Is they’re away to open the hosted tunes that shows all the tuning variables that I can copy?

Use the tune builder.  You can look at any tune.

Finnaly on the mend I’ve been down with the influenza for 3 days. A fellow member was kind enough to send me his XZT to try our and it’s supposed to arrive today I would like to try it out. I’d theyre anything to unhook on the Qaud besides data link and map and power wire?

If you're talking about the Adrenaline then there's the power cable that goes into the cab fuse box, the battery wires, the MAP and Data cables, and the fuel tap (if you tapped it).

I was speaking specifically about what needs to unhook besides the map and data link and power wire to temporarily run your xzt.

CANBus and MAP. Hook the XZT to the CANBus and MAP sensor.

I'm going to highly suggest you never get big injectors.

N O plans to do so.

The only reason I give this warning I've already came from Edge Comp. +50 HP injector is rather smokey and attracts a lot of attention to you. RV275's are OK still bit smokey injector but controllable. Stock injectors are the best being that Edge Comp is actually built around stock injectors more so. Smoke is a sign you need more timing advancement or less fuel.

Yeah, I ran an Edge Comp for 10 years. I know it was hella smokey when I tested it on my 7 x 0.0085 +75HP injectors. no control of smoke at all.

I’m going to put my stock injectors back in or get RV.s depending on funds.

If there is over 100k on the stock I highly suggest they are replaced or pop tested.

I may go with a new set of rvs. What mpg were you able to get with the comp and rvs?

High marked at 27.2 MPG, averaged about 22 MPG. Very difficult to do. Timing was wrong, too advanced in the winter time which I created the high idle mod and MPG fooler to fix that. (-1 point to Edge Comp). Then you have to drive 55 MPH (and under) all the time, if the engine load exceeds about 20% all the cruise timing is cancelled (-1 another point for Edge Comp). Drive like normal highway speeds the MPG dropped to about 18 MPG. At 80 MPH on the I84, it would drop deeper like 14 MPG.

No. TST comp is wiretap ONLY.

Seriously. Give the Adrenaline a try. I bet you’ll pick it up quicker than you think.

I'm with trreed, I looked at tuners for about 8 months before I decided what I wanted and I'm pretty happy with the adrenaline v2. I'm more of the engine builder not the tuner so all the different things to change overwhelmed me at first. But between Mopar1973Mans help and everyone else who has posted questions and answers I figured out the basics pretty quick

I know that when I had stock injectors and a edge juice my truck ran amazing. I need a combo that's going to produce the best mpg. Can I get oem tunes for the qaud that are designed to be ran without any tuning?

Well I tried out an XZT that a kind member loaned me and I must say I'm not real impressed.
