Air leaks. Typically occur on the suction side where there is no pressure but vacuum that draws air in. What happens is you park the truck it continues to draw air into till the system has lost prime.

  • This caught my eye. I assume you meant o-rings. Or what am I missing?

  • Good catch my friend. O ring would be correct. Though I am working on an auto eject tube.

Get it running as soon as you shut down pressurized the fuel tank using blow gun and a rag. Now have a second person hunt for moist joint with the system pressurized.

Only need 1 to 2 PSI. Don't get crazy with pressure.

Thanks for the input

Leaky return line from the VP and back of the head, bad springs on the cross over tubes. Basically anything on the fuel system that can let air in will cause hard starting. Some of those leaks want be visible.

Can you hear lift pump come on when you turn the ignition on but dont start the truck?
