I am finally getting around to wiring up some things on a 6 switch box I mounted. The switches are back lit so what would he the best place to pull switched power from or maybe tap into the light switch so they come on with the parking lights? Thanks in advance.

Where are you going to mount it?   You can get the power for the lights by splicing into the orange for the ash tray light or at the radio.  For constant battery power splice into the red/tan wire at the back of the power outlet and for switched battery power splice into the red/orange wire at the cigar lighter.

Remove the kick panel from under the steering column and reach around the left center support.

When I upgraded stereos the adapter plug does not have a use for the panel lighting on most stereos so I ran with the dimmer lead to my gauges and other ting needing panel lighting off the headlights.

Here's a pic. I installed a small power inverter for phone charging or other light electrical needs. Maybe charging a drill battery or the like.

Here's a couple pics of the switch box lit up. One with flash one without. Hard to get a good pic without glare.

Wonder how hard these inverters are on batteries, I got one on my work truck and it seems I have to change battery every 3-4 years, but it's worth it on that thing as I use it a lot plus I don't pay for batteries there

No I always leave it on when using the inverter, could be batteries I get from carqwest, that's the local parts store there.

Could be. The batteries in mine are actually more cca than oem. The PO put them in. I tested them before winter and they both tested fine. If memory serves, the date sticker on them is 2017.
