I am going to install an ATS deep pan on my 47RE and if I remember correctly Chip's Trans in TN used the 727 style open Wix 58707. The ATS extension block for the deep pan has 2 holes vs 3. Does it even matter what filter design is used between the 2? I guess if I run the early version I just need to confirm the orientation is the same as before with the large hole. Thanks in advance for any input!

I have two 2nd gens, one with the MagHightec pan and the other with the Georend Deep Pan. Out of the two, the Georend, in my opinion, is the better of the two.

I like the look of that Goerend especially the big drain plug size. Thanks

I run the 727 style in a deep pan with filter extension.

What did you end up doing?

The Mag Hytech has developed leaks after two trans services in a row. It's a drag cause you go to retighten the bolts and still won't stop leaking. I'm going to have to use the grey silicone on both sides of the gasket next time. The Georend is beautifully made while the Hyteck tries to be pretty.

I used the 727 style with extension and deep pan. It has been working well. Totally off subject. I saw a mechanical VGT turbo from DPS ? Anyone try that?

Thanks

My mag hytech leaks a little also . You torque the cork gasket to spec.  Run it a thousand miles and retighten  as they are all loose again. Not good
