January 23, 201312 yr Are you running a stock truck ? Signature doesn't tell much so that's why I ask
January 25, 201312 yr If you need a DD then great, but if you can get away with a single disk I would. The DD's are NOISY!!!
February 4, 201312 yr Author sorry I haven't update my signature I have a H&S Xrt and I want to run it on 100 horse and I tow a 12000 lb boat
February 4, 201312 yr The 120hp tune is a bit much for towing 12K lbs, clutch aside, for the turbo to cool. I would tow on the 60hp setting, and then a single disk would be fine. If your going to be doing a lot of towing of that weight I would consider a dual disc, but my single disk works great for towing.
February 4, 201312 yr Author which single disc clutch should I use to go with that option sounds alot more cost effective since the double disc is 1400. what you put in it? I see what your saying about the egts getting to high. 60 horse would be a nice upgrade
February 4, 201312 yr I am running a Southbend ConOFE and like it. I have about 415/850 to the ground and it holds it without issue. You will need a new flywheel and clutch hydraulics as well.
February 4, 201312 yr I just put the other Valair DD in, rated for 650 hp and it holds great. Its grabby taking off in 2nd gear and its a pain getting in gear from a stop but it holds like no tomorrow.
February 5, 201312 yr I have a Valair dd organic clutch and love it for towing. A little jerky once in a while and noisy. But it holds great.Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
