    You have to open it up and look from the inside. I wish Cummins would have marked them, but were not that lucky.

    You have to remove the front gear cover. That requires removing  several items off the front of the motor and the radiator if you want  more room. None of it is difficult. Some folks say a few hours,

    There are KDP repair kits to be had just search "cummins kdp repair kit".   There are also a few how to videos on YouTube with the same search "cummins kdp repair kit".  Most of the videos are for the 12 valve engine with a few for the 24 valve.
