Posted May 26, 201312 yr I started the swap earlier, im gonna wait till it cools down a little outside to proceed. I have only taken the bumper off so far. Will post pics as I progress.
June 5, 201312 yr I'll trade you... well that would depend on the trade, this isn't a stock engine... either way we shouldn't hijack the thread. OP, have you considered a keyed adjustable pump gear? no chance for slipped timing and timing changes are much easier and faster. I can adjust mine in 1/2° increments in under 8 minutes. A little spendy though.
June 7, 201312 yr Starting a 2001 H.O. p7100 swap this weekend. Ill post pics when I get some. Im installing a reground 12v cam to install a mechanical lift pump.

June 9, 201312 yr Author Worked on it today until it started raining. Stripped the paint off the pump and got it setting up there again. Hopefully get it mounted permanently tomorrow. John, you should come out if its nice tomorrow.
June 10, 201312 yr Author It rained again today but I did get the pump permanently bolted on and the oil feed figured out. Tabbed the kdp while I was in there and got the pump timed. Put the 4k gsk in , modded the afc and ground my plate to about a 100. I will get the lines on tomorrow and should get the front end all put back together. Hopefully be on the road by the weekend at the latest.
June 11, 201312 yr Author Ended up having to work today so I didn't get much time to work on it but I did get the new lines mounted, the overflow valve in and my fuel filter housing mounted good enough for now. I have to work on the lines a bit because #5 and # 6 are touching a little at the very back where they loop around each other.
June 11, 201312 yr I wish I could park my truck and be close enough to work on it. I have quite a to do list.
June 12, 201312 yr Author Still have to mount the fuel filter housing and figure a way to mount the ECM but its coming together. Hopefully hear it run tomorrow
June 12, 201312 yr How does this work for injectors Ryan? Can the P Pump pop the same injectors as the vp?
June 12, 201312 yr How does this work for injectors Ryan? Can the P Pump pop the same injectors as the vp? around 260 bar instead of 290-310 I think. But lots of guys run vp44 pop pressure .......... thought ryan was going to start there and decide ...... but unsure .....
June 12, 201312 yr Author I'm going to run them at vp pressure now and see how it goes. I will either get the pop pressure lowered or I have a line on some of Smokem's 6x.013's.
