It's been snowing here essentially non-stop now since about 1:00PM yesterday.  Shoveled about 9-10" of snow earlier today…….10:00AMish…………….probably have another 2-3" now.

Cut a load of future firewood both yesterday and on Monday, and I can't see it now!!!!  I just unloaded it in the front yard, just off the sidewalk.  Temp is about 20*F now…………..this is all coming off Lake Michigan (lake effect snow) as the wind is straight out of the East off the lake.  It's cold, so the snow is real light and dry.

Like around here we've had some seriously low temperatures around here that are colder than usual as well. Like at the Tamarack Mill my buddy Eric Coates drives there every day for work and he's seeing temps in the early morning hours of -15*F to -20*F easy.

My weather says -8F sunday, high of 3 monday..........you northerners are really starting to tick me off.  Keep this $&*7 on your side of the fence.  Was only 15 today.  Global warming my @$$.

You guys missed it...

I saw some movie where they were in Antarctica and they had to take their gloves off and they grabbed a metal pole and their skin stuck to it or something or froze and it started bleeding a lot.  I've endured a lot of pain in my dirt biking but just seeing that makes me shudder.

Extreme Cold temps are one thing that can be dealt with.................throw 20-30+ mph wind with it and it becomes deadly in minutes if unprepared.

Bill is right. Not only do the ambient temps here in Grand Forks hover around -30 at night but there is almost always a 20-30 mph wind on top of that. Makes for dangerously low temps with the wind chill. i am ready for summer now and so is the old cummins..

You gotta get through your blizzard and then the flooding of the Red Riiver first!
