I got my recall notice in the mail last week.

I got mine too.

This recall is for 03-08 trucks that have replaced their original "Y" steering with the Mopar "T" steering. If you have an 03-08 and still run the original steering it does not apply.

It also applies to all 08.5+ trucks.

Got one in the mail on my 2011 work truck, says to not even schedule an appointment to bring it in till after February the 14th or something like that.

HMM, wonder if I will get one for my 05. I bought it used with 26K on it in 08 so I don't know if the steering was changed prior to me owning it.

Most recalls require an inspection to determine if it is needed, guess I just wait and see.

I will never get tired of laughing at your GIF MC.   :lmao2:

Does you stabilizer clamp to the the tie-rod, or bolt to it?

That is the original linkage, not the upgraded linkage.

So it is not applicable to the recall?

Why would they consider a clamp on stabilizer an "Upgrade", I have never been a fan of clamp on systems.

The upgraded tie rod is solid for strength, so a clamp on stabilizer is the only option.

Correct, your truck is not effected by the recall.

Anyone know what the recall is for? I replaced my 03 with the upgraded one a few years ago but no recall letter.

The tie rod ends are not as forgiving on alignment, and if out of alignment one of them will snap. The new piece has a alignment pin that ensures the left and right ends are in the same plane of rotation.

Is this 4x4? My 05 two wheel drive 3500 has steering cyl. and tie rod with jam nut and that's it.

Got my recall letter last week, will stop in friday and have them look at it to see what they say.
