Well I started tearing into the repairs needed for the new rig before it is Camp/Road Ready...  I have my work cut out for me but, tis ok and will be well worth the effort

 I will need to add a place for some deep cycle batteries as this rig is not fully equipped.. I tore the cabinets and paneling out today... I will also be giving the walls a fresh coat of paint... Stay tuned!!!

Did that trailer not have any corner trim holding those corners together? If not, seems like it would be kind of hard to keep sealed and dry in there. When I did some water damage repair on the old camper I had, I was able to put something like this back on to keep every thing together.

 

 

Then you just get the rubber insert to cover up your screw heads and make it look nice.

Yes, it has the molding to go over the area. I just haven't put it on yet  Hopefully when I get back from teaching my classes today   And there will be another layer of sealant to make sure there won't be anymore leaks!!

I had not posted any pics before I tore the wall apart... As you can see the rest of the rig is in excellent shape, granted I will be changing the motif just a bit to suit my liking  

Please excuse the cabinets and sink on the floor... those were out already when I got the rig..

Wow. Just looking at those pictures its soooo close to being like my rig. Yeah... The green carpet I think needs to go... Don't you?

One day, yes... It will stay for now but the walls and window treatments as well as the couch are changing!!

Worked on the trailer for a little bit today...

Really pouring the silicone to the joints...

Not Silicone... Loctite® PL® S40 Polyurethane Window Door and Siding Sealant   And yes, I am very liberal at applying the aforementioned product       The new wood was also coated with Thompson's water seal as well ...

Not sure if it has the same attributes as the loctite brand you mention, or not.

The project of today....The Eternabond arrived, so I got up on the roof and I taped up the seams on the roof repair  then got to work on the rear vent area... the tape or whatever it was around the vent looked like crap.. So I removed all the old crap and cleaned the area then applied the Eternabond..

Awesome so far I figured your going to replace the entire roof. I wonder how the Eternalbond tape will hold up to the test of time and weather. Still doing a awesome job for repairs...

Thank you!! I will be replacing the whole roof next year... Unless anyone wants to donate to the cause      .... the roof fund will be going towards fixing the Lincoln   So I figure the small repairs will be ok for now

So I cleaned and reinstalled a new screen on the Vent cover and reinstalled it with new carriage bolts and some custom made aluminum rectangle  washers for added strength due to the cracks in the plastic...  I also installed a new vent cap over the shower as well...

 

Looking at the pictures of your roof in the other photos and these I would say you roof is getting rather wore out and won't last too much longer. There is a roof coating you could treat the roof again with to extend the life of the rubber. I'm going to be getting some this summer and re-doing mine to keep the roof as long as possible. I've only had one leak in the corner of the slide (Eternabond tape lifted) so it weeped into the corner and the wall has a nice patch of wavy wallpaper now. Only about 3x4 inches.

 

Now all you got to do is reassemble the interior right?

You are right the roof need a total makeover but the Lincoln is eating the roof fund   right now so this will work till I get the funds together next year or the year after... Be cause my mid to late summer savings will be going for new injectors for YabbaDoo   That is the plan anyway   I will then be putting aside for a new rubber roof for the 5th wheel

Well my friend came over this weekend and we got some work done on the RV... (finally, seems like it has been so crazy lately) First I changed the old tail lights with new LED's and got the rear corner braced and put the new panel in place along with re sealing the back window

Looking good. I had to put some eternabond on the corner of my slide today.

At this rate Tracy you might get to use it this fall. I know its not a easy task of tearing on down and fixing. I'm getting itchy to see your finished product though...
