I saw somebody post a question about injector nozzles. It would seem that the more you can atomize the fuel when it comes out of the injector the better. I am looking at the Bosch 40 horse or 50 horse injectors. Are the nozzles on these injectors adequate?

What increase in hp are the 275 injectors? Not sure what the nomenclature of 275 means here.

Is there a reason to save your old injectors? Can they be brought back to life with pop testing and new nozzles?

Stock SO engine produced 235 HP.

Stock RV Cummins ISB produced 275 HP (RV275) or roughly +40 HP

New nozzles, pop testing and flow matching by the time you do all this it might be cheaper to just buy new injectors.

Was that the only difference between the HO and the SO?

Now that I'm thinking about it, I bet different turbo too.

The HX  came on the manuals. 5 speed, SO and HX. 6 speed, HO and HX. Auto, SO and HY. Pretty sure this is what the 01 and 02 have. prior to that I think it was HX for all. Not sure however.

The HO pump is a little different as are the pistons. I would have to leave a better explanation to those more in the know.

It is alot less hassle in my opinion to just buy a complete set of injectors and be done with it. If you buy nozzles only you will have to find a competent shop that can assemble, flow match and pop test. And pray they know what they are doing, or you will be dealing with a poor running engine and in an extreme case the potential to wash a cylinder out.

That's why I just got a set from DAP, they use old bodies with new nozzles and pop and flow test them. I checked numbers on the ones i just got,+60hp over stock and they are stock 235hp bodies 7 hole. The ones I just took out of my truck last week were 8hole and part # matched ho 245, plus Mitch at DAP pretty well convinced me that ones I had were stock and the only thing they were good for is their bodies as core. So for 360 after core return and free fast shipping I'm happy, now I just hope my miss goes away when I tow.
