So i got a 68 ohm resistor and plugged it into the iat plug, cold engine, I let it run 4 min. And nothing but the check engine light came on immediately. Is that normal for the light to come on. Did I do it right and my high idle is not enabled?

The check engine light should not come on. I don't remember what the exact resistor that should be used is but for some reason the 68ohm doesn't sound right. You might double check that.

Yeah, the article calls for "K" ohm resisters. So a 68,000 would work, not 68.

Also, are you sure you put it in the IAT plug, or the MAP plug? :)

Basically 56㏀ (or 56,000Ω) which should be (Green, Blue, Orange, Gold) and it will test for 3 cylinder high idle. Typically found at a Radio Shack for a couple of bucks.

I knew I needed over 56 so i got a 68 but I didn't pay attention to the K part. I don't claim to be the smartest. I'll go back to radeo shack tomorrow aND get a 56K. I did get my BHAF today and installed it.
