  1. I like how he acts like he didn't know what I was saying. Maybe it's better we don't know the whole story.
  2. There has to be more to this story.
  3. Take your AAA card that has the 200 mile free tow on it. Best tool I own.
  4. http://www.thehulltruth.com/trucks-trailers/506255-diesel-fuel-additives.html
  5. What are you going to get?
  6. The cat does not impede performance in the 5.9 third gen so put it back in. I think it will stop the drone.
  7. Let me see if I understand what you are saying: Your problem is you can't hear your wife when you're driving? I'd like to install whatever you have in my truck!
  8. Or time to put more diesel in your truck...
  9. It took me and a friend less than 3 hours to change the heater core. You should change the evaporator while you're in there.
  10. You may not have any codes because the problem isn't bad enough to set one yet. I'm not saying I know if it is the vp44. I'm just thinking it sounds like it could be. I would really exhaust all other avenues first.
  11. Looks like they are doing work on the engine. That one is probably not connected. - - - Updated - - - Looks like they are doing work on the engine. That one is probably not connected.
  12. You don't want the flames hitting that paint job.
  13. Yes it is the same wire you used to set the timbo apps. I don't know of anyway to test the vp44. Pretty much if you can't find anything else wrong then it's probably to vp44. It sounds like the vp44 to me.
  14. You mean like this?
  15. As you are driving. You may have to tape the vm to windshield or something. If it fluctuates then maybe the APPS is bad. If not, maybe the vp44. - - - Updated - - - People that have a scan gauge can see the values for the tps on their gauge. The values will go up as you press the pedal. So if the truck surges and there is no corresponding increase on the tps values then the apps is not causing the surge.
  16. Kelly? Tell us more.
  17. Probably. It would be hard to guess what kind of miles were on the tranny already. I run the smarty jr on tow mode in my trucks that pull that kind of weight. HUGE difference. You will really like it.
  18. How about the intake gasket? A pshh sound to me would either be air of fuel. The fact that it isn't constant make it sound more like fuel. If it was a head gasket I would expect to see coolant. - - - Updated - - - How about the intake gasket? A pshh sound to me would either be air of fuel. 19. You can try hooking up the voltmeter to the APPS and watch it to see if the values change when you are surging or not. You might also call Tim (of Timbo apps) and ask him what he thinks.
  20. I was asking how to bleed it in case I ran out of fuel. I think the pump looks pretty cool. Raptor customer service is terrible and makes me wish this mechanical pump existed a few years ago.
