  1. I snapped the three fingered one as well. Then I bought a NAPA one piece two fingered one and it took it right off...there may have been a couple hits with a dead blow hammer too with tension on the pitman arm.
  2. OOOO sounds like input shaft. I just dropped my tranny today for a BD flexplate, ordering a sonnax input in a couple weeks. I'm about 45 mins from the boarder...
  3. Connector tube o-rings and copper washers, 6 each. If you have about $400 kickin around, might as well have them rebuilt with better flow nozzles while they're out of the truck.
  4. Sway bar bushings, they're a cheap fix($20) that could help. An alignment will help too!
  5. You can go up to 100 hp sticks with an hx35. How much power you want? For the price of Bosch RV 275s you can get DAP 50s or 60s or a little more. I guess the question is how much power can your driveline hold? Automatic? That will be the limiting factor before the turbo. A programmer will factor in that too, I had the Edge EZ and now I have the Comp and I liked them both...my transmission didn't however.
  6. Flexplate is destroyed! I'll post a pick later. Just ordered a BD unit, and hopefully billet input in a month or two...she's down for the count. Now I have some questions. I'm getting all new bolts for the flexplate to crank and flexplate to converter, can I use grade 8 bolts or do I need the special cummins/dodge/arp bolts?
  7. Great...it's only a matter of time before new laws are enacted that will punish everyone
  8. If not it's darn close, you might get some extra timing with the JWA, but it would be insignificant. You have an EZ kickin around? It's not worth selling the JWA and buying an EZ.
  9. A lot of us have that...unknown. When you put your left foot flat on the floor?
  10. Maybe everyone's trucks are running so well they don't need advice on fixes....
  11. I might have heard cracking too on the first 1st to 2nd shift. Hopefully I'll have time today to check, but I put blue loc-tite on those bolts.
  12. Might as well do the input shaft too right...or that's next to break!
  13. Well, possible cracked flexplate with the new triple disc, I'll check tomorrow. I have a nice clicking sound coming from the inspection port, and I'm pretty sure it's NOT a bolt head. Who has the best after market flex plate? I see BD and DTT, some say designed for flex and other say billet and no bending. Any recommendations?
  14. I traveled there last year, go hiking in the mountains! It's awesome out there!
  15. You had your turbine housing machined and a larger wheel put on?
  16. For a low price it isn't worth the minimal gain. I've played with my WH1C (HX35 essentially), and I had surging from the larger compressor, and the larger turbine housing didn't gain much for $200. Best bet is stay stock or invest about $1000 for an s300 or super b style. I did the HY35 to WH1C (HX35 size) swap, which helped my top end and could handle my mods. Then an aftermarket wastegate, which wasn't worth the $100. I was trying to do a budget turbo upgrade as well, but by the time I took my turbo out 3-4 times and the money I invested in minor upgrades, I could have bought a super b...But my current set-up handles my mods well, I just wish I had gone with a super b from the get-go, from a financial and performance stand point.
  17. Some more plus' for the hemi: there was no redline on the tachometer, that truck moved off the line and sounded nice with a flowmaster muffler! It did everything I asked it to except get descent mileage haha. If you do go the hemi/gas route make sure you get the extra leaf pack or camper package or whatever the 3500 suspension is. I had just the regular 2500 suspension, and that rear end would squat pretty bad with a full load of wood in the back. Other than that, I think you're just looking at price and fuel mileage, maybe longevity with the new diesels and their fancy equipment-time will tell.
  18. paypal/bill me later does that. Most vendors accept it, and if you spend over $100, you get 6 months interest free to pay it off. Works out really well. DAP has it, Rock Auto and just about everyone else.
  19. Looks like them Dodge boys are at it again
  20. How long have you had your truck? I went from a hemi to the cummins and I won't go back to a v8 again. Just can't beat the torque, for any application, daily driving or towing. I had an 03, averaged 12.5 mpg unloaded, now I average 16-18. I'd like to see some real life reporting on the new hemis...
  21. Between compressor housing and center section? My WH1C has a v-band clamp and there is a big rubber o-ring that goes between the compressor housing and center section, then v-band pulls them together.
  22. No hardwood out there in ID? All we burn in the northeast is primarily oak, maple, cherry and birch. Well, propane now that I'm renting in OH.
  23. Gauges are a must, one way or another, plus they're cool! I saw a bigger power gain and mileage increase from no programmer on my truck to EZ then from EZ to Comp. Mileage increase wasn't a huge jump from EZ to Comp, but it helps when your tailpipe is shooting out black stuff. Your transmission will like you better with the EZ if it's stock, but you can still slip the converter with EZ and injectors.
