gotta say movement looks normal to me. but the cross pin looks worn maybe. The symptoms you described sound to me like a lack of friction additive. it's not hard to pull the axles out and inspect the splines. un;ess you feel liek taking the diff apart, i'dd put it back together add GL5 then the additive. it's a friction modifier.

What type of wood are you splitting? i gotta charge some camera batteries then i'll get you some pics of what i do. - - - Updated - - - i cut and make tables and Mantels out of Alligator juniper, i burn for heat what isn't able to be sold, i also burn Oak, and Aspen. i only go through about 3-4 cords a year. i start my fires with aspen, then burn a log or two of juniper, then stock overnight with OAK. and stoke all day with oak as well. after work i do partial clean out beings i try and keep most of the hot coals. the saws i user are a Sthil 066 w/25 or 32" bar, and a 360 with a 20" bar and a 026 with 18 or 16" bars.

keep the dumb phone, get a 3g ipad, the data plans are from 15-50 a month. pending how much usages they use. if you have wifi at home then it's great. heck even on the road find a coffee shop or most modern hotels offer free wifi park in the parking lot to use it. them learn how to turn the tracking features off of the smart devices.

I thank you all for the information. i SO wanted the cooper AT3's or the discount tire only version ATP, but not a single store in this town had them in the size i wanted 285/75/16, so i wandering around the tires shop and over heard a guy talking about changing in his 4 hour old BFG AT's in 285 for something in a 305, i perk up. maybe i can get them at a deal, Well a deal i did. new they would have been 1072, i got them mounted balanced on my new rims ( new to me Wife bought them last night for 100$ on CL) OTD for $800.00, i'll take em.!!!! So we shal see how they do. i used to love BFG's Again thank you all for the information!!!

i must add, the tires must be made in USA, i have no desire to send money else where when so many here need it.

never heard of VOMA or Hifly tires, i'll have to look around here. there is a guy selling tires on CL named Goodride, and there are others from Canada, Thanks for the input thus far.

tires tires tires, what tires do we like?I used to be a die hard BF Goodrich fan, i share the name sake. my last name is Goodrich,but the last set of tires i purchased for my Toyota were Cooper AT3, LOVE them. they are a great tire. i would like to get a USA made tire. BFG's are not anymore. Toyos are, i get a great deal on those from running them in the Baja 500. So. maybe what i'm asking is what's ya'll's thoughts.i would create a pole if i could.BFG AT,Cooper Toyo, Yoko,Goodyear. i want all terrain tires no mudders i would like to see 50K out of them. i've had BFG's go 63K befor needing replaced.i need a tire with good snow and off road maners as well as nice highway ride.. yes i ask alot from my tires. size too. i have no lift or leaveling kit, want on though. what fits stock? i'm thinking 285/75/16, but might stick with the 265'splease chim in with brand and model of tire please.Oh and Thank you.

15,000 dry, would not have wanted to tow this loaded. transporting is cool. this one has 2 slides, and a washer n dryer in it. 4, 7 gal propane tanks. fresh holds 150gal yes 150.. need bigger truck then min to tow loaded...

i've heard and seen the goose neck adapters are bad news, seen one rip off the 5th wheel hitch on the trailer. just my thoughts.other then that, it looks AWESOME!!! congrats

first off, my bad, i didn't read that this thread was for 3rd gen CR trucks.My truck is a 02 and it had Dana axles. my rotors are outside the hub. easy to remove. i've looked at my dad truck it's a true dana 60. some of them had a 44/60 hybrid 50. the 60 dif and 44 outers. i'm going to look into this more. i have access to lotsa fords here in the junk yards!!!

My tires are stock. 265/75/16. Checking the speedo with a garmin rhino 530 it's spot on. Although the fuel mpg thing in the overhead council LIES!!! Us there a way to fix this? It says I get 25-27 mpg on a regular basis.

I'm wondering what speed people are going at what RPM. today i hauled a 35' 5er weighing in around 15000lb. and i was paying real close attention to my speed vs rpm.i didn't use OD while towing.2nd gear was 40 mph at 2700 rpm.3 locked was 55 at 2000. in od i turn about 1700 ish and go 67ish. i'm starting to think i don't have the 3.55 gear the sticker on the glove box says i do.thought and imput would be great.

Why buy the kit? these are Dana 60's right? 8 lug, why not take the front spindles off a ford f250/350? my dad has a 00 ford f250 with real locking hubs. dana 60. so at most i would have to change the brake lines. and maybe the stub shaft. these parts should be really easy to find in a junk yard...enlighten me...

agreed on the buying a used trailer. mine is, but i've had a new ArticFox in the past, only problem i've had was the screws on the cabnits comming loose. other than that after 5 year of ownership no problems. the 5er i have now was an ex lived in one. it was stationarry. it has nice counter tops nice burber carpet, and everything works.SO glad to not have the payment and issues with a new trailer. i'm sorry to hear of your troubles.
