Possible move to the NW...
I miss living in northern ID. We lived in Coeur d'alene, it was awesome. the only other place besides Flagstaff AZ that i'd ever live. the Postfalls ID is nice town also. Rathdrum, Silver Lake all very nice places with the income needed to have a comforable life style for us was only in the 40,000's yes more is better, but we had a 3 bedroom 2 car, 1/2 acer lot for 112,000. - - - Updated - - - another thing to take note of the Washington tax rate is TOTALLY different as they don;t have a state income tax. i lived in ID, and worked in Spokane.

Fallen brothers
With me living in northern Arizona, these fire fighters loosing the battle was a close hit to home. i have close friends that knew most of the boys and the one girl. please if you can give a little. several of them are/were expecting babies in the coming months. http://standwitharizona.com/blog/2013/06/30/who-they-were-the-granite-mountain-hotshots-19-brave-souls-who-perished-in-arizona-fire/ read there. - - - Updated - - - <iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/40561725" width="400" height="300" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe> http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/story/22728838/arizona-wildfire-kills-19-members-of-elite-crew

Install fuel pump in series with in tank pump
this is true, but you also have to reach up and disconnect the lines and wireing, my way just disconnect the fill hoses. lift bed. no need to have an empty tank either. both would suffice pending the desired task at hand.

Install fuel pump in series with in tank pump
I also have this set up. when i purchased the truck it had the in-take pump, and the one on the block. they both work. so far.. i've had no problems yet. but i also don't have the beloved fuel pressure gauge. i took my in-tank pump out to clean the screen all was good. the best way to get to the in-tank pump is lift the bed. 6 bolts. then used 2x6 on edge one at front and one at rear. that provided sufficient room to access and remove the pump canister assembly. sorry for the attached thumb nail. i clicked the wrong one and was to late by the time i saw it. i cant find a way to delete it.

Centrifuge Filters
Thank you for the info. although price doesn't seem that far off. what i'm looking into. http://www.dieselcraft.com/engine-oil-cleaning.php#.Ucs33RLXaN0 the OC-25 the Frantz http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-NEW-FRANTZ-SKY-OIL-FILTER-CLEANER-CAR-MOTOR-PARTS-ACCESSORIES-/330924684055?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0ca5f317&vxp=mtr amsoil http://www.ebay.com/itm/DODGE-CUMMINS-5-9-BYPASS-OIL-FILTRATION-FILTER-STANDARD-KIT-WITH-OIL-RETURN-CAP/251275166727?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D27%26meid%3D8659235507050417246%26pid%3D100033%26prg%3D1011%26rk%3D3%26sd%3D180874951317%26 not that much more. might be worth it if i can extent changes and help the engine run till the 1,000,000 mile mark and beyond. I know th big rigs have these. why not the little big rigs.?

Tow or haul ?
I love the two wheelers. I motocross when money allows, it's 2 hour drive to the nearest track. And ATM Phoenix isn't very cool, so I can only ride for a few hours.

Tow or haul ?
I must apologize, after reading my comment and the fallowing posts by others, I see that I sounded like a pompas ___. I'm sorry, I ment no disrespect in my statements. Perhaps a review of my post by my better half will help avoid further embarrassment... :-(

Centrifuge Filters
anyone have info on these? are there any kinda easy to install kits? i look online but only see things for the big rigs. i like the idea of this type of filer, not for the extended changes. but for the better filtration. i'll still change around 7500 miles as per the cummins manual for my type of driving. thank you for any info you my provide.

Tow or haul ?
i don't like the way he has it strapped down. what would it do in an accadent? i load my Yamaha Rhino into my bed. make an X with the straps. from the front of RZR to rear pockets on the bed rails. then from rear of RZR to the front pockets. that keeps it from bumping the cab. no forward or rear movement. here in AZ, DPS will stop you and have you redo the tiedown.
-
...speaking of fords
may i add a few.Dodge- Damn ol dodge go everywhere. Jeep - Just empty every pocket. did you know on a quiet night you can hear a ford rust? My step dad has an 00 ford f250, with only 42,xxx miles. and i gotta say. that truck can move. it'll smoke 02 cummins.my bio dad has a 09 duramax. lol and my cummins will as of right now run with his. neither one of us can pull on the other. all of them have faults. and strong points. i choose the cummins because my 94 year old grandpa told me if i wanted a REAL truck that would treat me good for years to come to buy a cummins, his 99 had 68,xxx and lost a main bearing, dodge replaced his engine, then it ran to 46x,xxx when he sold it and never a single brake down. we have a farm, all the truck do their fair share of hauling hay, cattle, horses. etc. these arn't just pavement pounders.

If you get lost in the woods, what do you do?
its not easy for me to get lost. study the stars. know what phase the moon is in. if lost during the day. make sure your intelligent enough to have prepared your self for the adventure you are on. one should at all times have WATER!, some form of food. lighter/matches/ compass, blanket, firearm, and sufficient education for them to use in order to save the life they so cherish. if lost; stay calm. remember every book, or movie you'v read or seen about survival. the small key points are what going to keep you alive. if in doubt think it out. I care an xd40m at all times. one clip has hallow points the other are fmj's. that is good enough to provide self defense and food gathering if need be.

clucking on the floor board.
i think i'll wait to get some leveling springs. then build new arms. i'm guessing but i'd imagine with a 3" leveling spring then the arms should be about 1/2" longer. giver er take some... as i type this. why did some of the letter go BOLD? odd..anyhow thank you all for the input. how might one go about checking the bushings aside from taking the arms out...?
-
clucking on the floor board.
in the passanger side with your feet closer to the seat you can feel like a clunking or kicking on the floor board. not over all bumps, but i dunno it has me stumped.i've checked the shocks. the control arms seem to be ok. not to sure how to check those, just visual instection they look ok the bushings look ok. i've had my wife sit there as i go beatting on the under side of the truck and she says i never do the same thing.any thoughts? my truck does pull to the right a little. but i'm not sure that could cause this.... thanks again...

TC lock un lock switch.
so will it still lock up on it's own? do are you forced to use the switch?
-
TC lock un lock switch.
thank you so much for that.
-
Automatic Transmission Cooling
well. you feel it locking the TC then shifting, then locking again. at or around 40-46 mph you go into OD, then your TC will lock. on the right grade you can get 1-2-3-tc lock- OD tc unlocked, then TC locked. the shift points your feeling the is the TC locking and unlocking as it goeds htrough the gears.

TC lock un lock switch.
Ok, now maybe i don't knwo what i'm doing... i've come across a thread somehwere that you remove the cylanoid then use a jumper wire, then wire a certain one to ground through the switch... ive not seen this method of the 33 ohm resistor. nore leaving the cylanoid in place.. maybe some more digging is in store, unless any you kind humans care to elabriate.
-
TC lock un lock switch.
So i've been contemplating doing the switch mod for locking my TC. but i have one unanswered question. with the switch in the off position wiill the TC lock on it's on normally? then if i want to lock it then i cna flip the switch? right not mine works great. but there are times when i'd like some engine braking and other geek reasons to be able to manually lock and unlock it. Thank all.

Electric radiator fan?
How aboiut adding an electric fan to the AC condensor?? would that help my AC get coolder faster and stay colder. mine in town puts out 50, then on the hwy after 3-4 miles will get down to 40. Sorry if this isn'[t the right place, it was just on the electric fan idea...
