  1. Ive had this center console in my truck for a couple years now and love it. However, i was never smart enough to wire up the electrical ports. Can you explain how you did it please? ill admit i am not electrical savvy!
  2. To start off it off I will say I just replaced both my batteries with Interstate green top batteries about 7 months ago that have higher CA and CCAs than the last set of walmart batteries I had. Problem is that I got a new(er) truck to drive around for better fuel economy and comfort so now my truck in sig, 2001 ram 2500, is losing charge after sitting for a little while. I actually started to notice prior to getting my new truck about 3 weeks ago that even after it sat over a 2 day weekend it seemed like it took a few more turns to get it to start. This time it sat for about 2 weeks and it was completely dead when I tried to drive it this past Sunday. Any guesses on what could be slowly draining the batteries? I do not have any aftermarket accessories running when the truck is off. And besides a regular pioneer radio in the dash that is the only aftermarket interior change which I put in a few years ago.
  3. yes tightened 4 down as soon as it had good flow, but 1&3 just continued to barely come out. It actually wouldnt come out of 1&3 at all without completely undoing the line and pulling the line away from the head.
  4. Update: I tried to jump the starter and got just a few sparks but nothing else. Pulled the starter and bought a new duralast starter from autozone. Installed the new starter and now it is turning over again. However, it still will not start. I tried bleeding the injector lines while the wife was turning over my truck I cracked numbers 1,3,&4. I had pretty decent flow out of the #4 line but only some out of 1 & 3. Would this mean the VP is gone??
  5. I just installed this same kit about a month ago also just installed his termianl end kit since my ends were looking pretty rough. Cleaned all the grounds good as well from block to frame. I will try to jump the starter this afternoon and see if that does anything and if not I will run down to AutoZone and pick up a new one just to see if it works. I've already talked to both BlueChip and Thoroughbred about my issue and both said it sounds more like a low voltage or other electrical problem. I am throwing the 1688 code which is a VP death code but both also said this code can be thrown if the VP module isnt seeing a full 12V and it also won't supply fuel without the full 12V. So will be testing the starter today.
  6. Tried to crank it when I got home from work and same thing turn key and nothing just silence with a couple clicks coming from the relays under the hood. I had ordered a new terminal end kit from LarryBs last week thinking my ends may be part of the problem bc they wouldn't get tight. Well they came in today so I removed all the cables and changed and cleaned up all the cable ends. When I put it all back together I tried to start her again. She turned over just a few turns very weak and then went silent again. This has me thinking it has to be either the ignition or starter. Am I thinking wrong? Tomorrow after work I'll try the few tests IBMobile mentioned above. Was just hoping the new terminal ends would fix it. By the time I got everything together I was already working in the dark so couldn't see well enough try the other tests.
  7. A few days ago I started having starting issues. It use to barely even turn a full turn before she crunk up. Then a few days ago she started turning over several times as if the batteries were going low. Once she started my voltage guage quickly rose back up to 14+ volts and ran perfect. Yesterday she finally decided she didn't want to start and would only spin over. I hooked my charger up to them and let them charge for a little while and still the same just spun a little quicker. Thought I may not be getting any fuel so I cracked an injector line 3&5 and no fuel came out but filter bowl was slap full. Thinking it had to be a voltage issue I pulled the batteries brought them to AutoZone today to have them tested and both tested good but at 67% when they were both around 95% the previous night after charging them. So I went ahead and bought 2 new Interstate Megatron plus 1000 CA 810 CCA batteries. Brought them home dropped them in and same thing happened spun over but no start. Diconnected all the battery terminal ends again cleaned them all up really nice and shiny and put them back on and still the same for the first 2-3 tries. Now I turn the key and I get NOTHING. Even hooked both my charger and jump starter to the batteries and I get nothing! No turn over just silence. I checked my grounds at the block on both sides cleaned them up and checked the other grounds under the hood and cleaned those as well. Did the key turn trick and got these codes: PCU- 1693 ECU- 0237, 1689, 0232, 1688, 0230 I'm stuck! Luckly when she decided she didn't won't to work any more I had made it home so she is in the driveway. However she is my DD and my only ride without taking the wife's car. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need to get her back on the road ASAP!!!
  8. Idk my fuel pressure with the fuel boss idles at 17-18psi and when cruising sits at around 18-19 and wots between 20-22psi. So it seems the fuel boss is sucking pretty well through the factory straw. I dont think adding the straw or the sump would help increase that, which isnt needed, but I'm sure it would be less restrictive which is the point.
  9. No as i have never used the DTT. Ive seen throughout forums people remove them because of 1 problem or another and have seen some used units come up for sale. Not saying the fuel boss doesnt, but i havent seen any. Here is 1 or probably 100 threads regarding, comparing, etc the 2 pumps from the cumminsforum. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94-98-performance-parts-discussion/1506682-dtt-assassin-vs-gdp-fuel-boss.html Well i also thought and considered just doing the drawstraw put didnt really want to drop the tank, yes lazy i know. And i've heard nothing but good things about the beans sump. I guess ill go back and reconsider just doing the straw.
  10. If you go the mechanical route i recommend GDP's (Glacier Diesel Power) Fuel boss. Ive had it on my 01 for almost 4 years now and have never had any issues. I also still have the carter pump that is connected through the hobbs switch for priming purposes. If the fuel boss ever fails the carter should keep me from being stuck. But the only thing I feel that could potentially happen to the fuel boss is the belt break but I spent the $7 to keep an extra one under the back seat just incase it ever did decide to come off. To top it off Richard with GDP is an awesome person to deal with, and great customer service. I will be ordering the GDP mk7 fuel filter set up before to much longer as well and a Beans Diesel sump.
  11. Ive had the nations 180amp for a little over a year now as well and have no complaints at all
  12. well dang i wish i would have known that. I just bought a cheap samsung phone off craigslist just to use as a monitor. Could have bought something else.
  13. Yes I do! sorry for the late reply. Just moved from MS to NC as well so have been busy all day unloading and unpacking.
  14. Ok, I also just ditched my edge jwa and switched to the Adrenaline iQuad BT. Im pretty sure this stuff is far to advanced for me as i am not a tech savy guy. Can Someone give me a crash course in loading tunes? I watched the video about downloading from the repository and when i download it says it says i cannot open json files and it doesnt do anything in the quad app. Is there a way to see what settings you guys used and just manually input them? The last thing i want to do is go entering random numbers when i have no clue what I'm doing. Any help would be seriously appreciated. I know I'm dumb now but i will learn!
  15. I already have ARP studs, not currently installed, but will install at the same time I do the injectors. Seeing as ill have it apart that is why they recommended doing the springs and rods. I never wrap the gauge and never plan to most of my daily driving never puts me over 70mph (especially now that Im in DC im lucky if I get over 35 going home after work.) As far as playing goes its more about wanting it but not needing it... or atleast thats what my wife says. And Cronus577 i know the thread you are talking about and have read through it. If I do end up doing the springs and rods I will probably go that route. DAP quoted me 2300 for everything (turbo, injectors, springs, and rods). However the "neon" springs are cheaper and the manton rods are as well compared to what DAP is trying to sell their parts for. I will more than likely get the turbo and injectors from them because they have treated me well in the past and have better prices than most especially when you talk to them directly. My thing is was the need for springs and rods just a sells pitch and not really necessary. If the consensus is that they should be done I will do it.
  16. My plan here pretty soon is to go with a 62/68/12 or 14 BW turbo and possibly 150 vco or sac injectors. Ive talked to a couple sales reps and they said i should consider upgrading my springs and push rods as well. I dont feel like this setup would warrant the need to upgrade the springs and rods so I am asking for some input? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. This is my DD so the most important thing is reliability but I also want to have some fun from time to time as well so if anyone has any other build suggestions let me know. I do not tow much often enough to have build that is used for towing.
  17. Talking to DAP i remember them saying the opposite. I was told the SAC flow more and that basically a 150hp flowed like a 190hp injector.
  18. I live down in South Mississippi where even on the coldest days it may drop to the 20s in the morning but by the time the sun comes up good temps rise into the upper 30s. and this is only for a few days out of the year. My reason for asking is I read on a couple articles that it can reduce egts. My egts at cruise (75mph) are around 900 degrees and of course shoot up pretty quickly if I get on the throttle at all. Will this help that come down?? I want to go with bigger injectors and Turbo in the near future just trying to save up the funds. Truck is a 2001 ecsb 2500 with a built 47re. It does have a 5inch lift and 35s on 20s which i know play a factor in the problem. Has and edge jwa as well set on 3x2 and a bhaf with 5in exhaust.
  19. I needed that same exact bushing and I bought the dorman bushing kit specified above (dorman 14041) and it does not include the bushing you or I need. Edit: Never mind I am thinking of a bushing further up the line. I did not inspect the image very well
  20. I built a boost leak tester and pressurized the system to 20psi. All boots swole up like crazy I sprayed everything with soupy water including entire engine and all boots and hoses (needed a cleaning anyway) and all intercooler boots checked out fine no bubbles any where surprising since they are all oe original. The only place I had a leak small was at one of the bolt holes on the oe intake horn (front engine side bolt where edge jwa is grounded to. Any suggestions to fix it? I'm thinking just a washer to seal it off being the ground cable has bolt held up higher, definitely is tight tho.
  21. with a name like "snowshoveler" im guessing your not to close to Gulfport, Ms.... lol
  22. Ok im back with some drive results... cruising at 65 my egts according to edge jwa was 700 ish if i got on it they jumped to 1050ish but then dropped right back down as soon as I let off it. When i got to a red light they would drop down into the 450 range depending on how long I was sitting.
  23. I dont drive my truck during the week so ill definitely check it out today, but i dont think my egt's have ever gotten that high, what should be average? Ill check on the MAP connections here in a few to, thanks guys
  24. Definitely not trying to hijack anyones thread, but i have a question closely related. I have the hx35 on my truck with an afe wastegate actuator set to 38ish, and my edge jwa is set to 40 but when i wot i can only get around 25psi of boost. does this mean i have a leak?? or is there another reason??
