  1. Green is the new red. It really is all just BS designed to control. And I really can't figure out why I should care what the ChiComs community or the European community, or any other community thinks for that matter. Our govt is an organized crime syndicate. Nothing more.
  2. So I was looking at the smarty tuner site, thinking about a tuner, and trying to figure out which would be best for me and my truck. I like the price of the JR. better than the S06 and I'm wondering if I really need the bigger tuner. I got this truck to pull my TT and some day I might go up to a 5er. I will tow my Harley and maybe a boat. So that's the extent of the weight. It's also my daily driver. Not planning on using the truck for any commercial purpose. I won't be building a race truck and I don't want the truck belching smoke. I have a Flowmaster muffler and an airraid intake tube.If I have to change injectors I will probably go with the Smarty 50 hp injectors( which is another thing I don't understand. 50 hp injectors give me 50 more hp? So a tuner set on 100 hp setting plus 50 hp injectors give me a 150 hp boost?) and that's all I plan on doing. Well, maybe a smoother intake. Both tuners do the things I like, but do I really need 200 hp? Another thing is what does advancing the timing do? How much HP can I go before Im going to need a bigger lift pump? So help me figure this out.
  3. I came across a set of Nitto Terragrapplers mounted on 17" Fuel wheels for 1200 bucks a couple years ago. Ran em on my 1500 till I replaced it with the 3500. The guy that bought it didn't want the Nittos so I kept em and put em on the 3500. I have about 18000 on em total right now. If I ever wear em out I would like to get another set. I like em a lot. Oh. My boss ran em on his 3500 mega and he was getting about 70-75 thousand off a set. Made in the USA. The truck had a set of fire stones on it when I got it. As we were going home when we got it I slung up a rock that hit my wife's windshield and broke it. I don't like firestones much.
  4. Anyone know what kind of bumper is on that Dodge?
  5. It you got to shoot, make the first shot count. And whatever you do, don't record it.
  6. Ya, he didn't replace the slave cylinder. So that's my quandary. If I replace the slave cylinder I might just replace the entire clutch and go back to an OEM or replacement stock style. I have no real use for this heavy of a clutch at this time.
  7. Could really use some help. The clutch on my truck starts to engage just a couple inches off the floor. It is a HD single plate clutch (don't know what brand, the guy who owned it previously just said it wasn't a SB or Valair. He doesn't know what brand it is) and if I'm not ready for it it bucks and chugs. I want it to engage a little higher. Can I adjust for this? How? Thx in advance for any help.
  8. I thought the common rail was supposed to be an improvement over the 24valve. Now your telling me it's a smog motor? I can't win for losin I tell ya.
  9. I don't have to worry about gelling................... Thankfully
  10. Well, what if you are driving in AZ all year long?
  11. Ah ya. I forgot that. I wish we could see some numbers from a test done at 128:1. I'd like to know if the number is much better than the Opti Lube summer. Also I wonder what the engine manufacture thinks about that low of a number. The guy who owned the truck before me would use Power service or Howes. He didn't believe me when I told him they were nowhere as good as 2stroke oil. I stopped in and filled the tank at just under half and put in a quart of2cycle and I could tell the difference in just a couple miles.
  12. If I'm reading your chart right the two stroke oil gives borderline protection,. Opti-Lube Summer gives perfect protection. Is that right?
  13. So it's all over the place. I'm sure quality of fuel and filter have a lot to do with it. I don't live in a cold climate so idle time isn't much of an issue for me.

    Thnx guys. Already learning. LOL
  15. Makes sense. Thanks for the response. So considering wild ad free says the failure is based on gallons of fuel burned, how can you figure that by miles? Is there a window where the majority of failures are occurring?
  16. Why change all at once? Reason I ask is when an injector fails on a big truck only the bad injector gets replaced. I wouldn't think the small engine would be any different in that aspect.

I found this forum by following a link in Mopar1973mans sig on the RV forum. Looked like a good site, and I know from being a member on CDF back in 2009 ( I think) that he has a lot of knowledge. Used to own a 99 QC dually back then, but my wife got pissed at it so I sold it and got an 05 1500 Hemi truck that got stolen 6 months later. That led to me getting a 2010 1500 Hemi truck. Well we recently got a 29 foot TT and the 1500 just wasn't big enough. A friend of mine traded in his truck on a jeep so I sold my 1500 and bought his truck . I picked it up yesterday. It's a white 06 3500 QC manual trans Big Horn 4x4 and I really like it. So Hello.
